Labetxea is a charming cottage, rental integral, six-seater that is in Baraibar way to the Sanctuary Romanesque San Miguel de Aralar, in the Sierra de Aralar, located between San Sebastian-Donostia (Gipuzkoa) and Pamplona-Iruña ( Navarre).
The house is warm and inviting. On the ground floor are the kitchen, the dining room and a toilet. On the first floor there are three very large and beautiful bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and a reading room. It has a private parking and is located in the quietest area of the town of Baraibar.
The most interesting of Labetxea is its location, the rustic charm of the house, activities and cuisine of the valley and the beauty of nature around us.
We love to enjoy a personalized treatment. We can not forget our traveling companion Argi, bitch Basque shepherdess, who is very loving and close friend of our friends.
Baraibar village has a bar-restaurant and a steakhouse. In Lekunberri, 3km, are all services and a wide choice of the best and most varied.
Labetxea is well connected with the rest of Navarra, the Guipuzcoa and the French Basque coast along the A-15.
Within what to do in the surrounding area, we can mention the following:
In Astiz, one of the villages in the valley, Cave Mendukilo recommended visiting the importance of its stalagmites and stalactites and stunning setting where they are located.
The nacedero the river that gives name to the valley, Larraun, is a lovely walk that takes place from the neighboring village of Iribas. You lose one among old oak and chestnut trees on the banks of the river that permeate the atmosphere of a wonderful natural charm. Children can come perfectly to the very head of the river.
The greenway Plazalola, old railway that connects the towns of Navarra and Guipuzcoa, offers many possibilities for easy walks to also perform with children. Different sections offer beautiful views of the entire valley. Bicycles can be rented at the tourist information office.
For all day trips we can mention the Basque part of San Juan de Luz, Biarritz, Bayonne and other precious inland towns.
The ancient capital of Guipúzcoa, Tolosa, where lively weekly markets are held every Saturday morning.
San Sebastián well known for its beauty and where we can also make children enjoy the aquariun, located in the same port and traditional amusement park Monte Igueldo from where you can admire the bay.
It is also interesting the city of Vitoria for its old town, parks and its cathedral that is visited inland by crossing all of it by scaffolding placed for repair. Nor can we forget the highly recommended Natural Museum in the same city.
Pamplona, which is a half hour drive, well worth visiting its old part, where recompose the course of its famous bull running, walking along its walls, visit the museum of father of Basque sculptor Oteiza, etc ...
And of course the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao.
