Pickwick Pines - wonderful neighborhood
Wonderful location and extremely friendly neighbors. Very quiet and peaceful. Kids loved the pool! House was very cute as pictures. Enjoyed sipping coffee in the mornings on the porches and watching the hummingbirds and butterflies.
completely opposite of Los Angeles
Went from roar of jets at LAX to the roar(?) of crickets.
Quiet,peaceful comfortable stay. Thank you.
On;y problem was I wasn't able to work the TV. But that turned out to be a good thing. I was able to have long conversations with my son who I hadn't seen in years.
Booking and check-in were very easy. This reasonably priced house had everything we needed for a weekend stay for four adults, two kids and an infant. Grounds and community as a whole are very well-kept. Gated as well as 24/7 security on-site, felt very safe. Just a short drive (about 5 minutes to the lake).
House needs some cleaning beyond what it appears to regularly get. Quite a few spider webs that need to be removed, hard-surface floors need to be mopped in corners. Shower curtain liners need to be replaced.
Although dated in decor, linens, etc., overall the house is a good value and worth consideration if you’re looking in the area.
We were in town for a family reunion which was being held less than 10 minutes away at Pickwick Lake. This place was well stocked from tissue to condiments and coffee filters...even some food items. We loved the covered porch in the back which the other units nearby did not have. We would for sure return and recommend to others.
We really enjoyed this quiet, peaceful getaway! The cottage is in a great location and is furnished beautifully. Our kids loved the pools and courts.
Good house and location
Liked the house, it’s location, and amenities. Only downfall Is that it looked like it didn’t get a great cleaning. Dishes in cabinet were wet, dog hair on furniture, spilled coffee on counters. Would stay her again, just needed some more cleaning
Pickwick Lake is a 43,000 acre lake which is connected to the Tennessee River and Tombigbee Waterway system. Pickwick offers excellent fishing and boating activities. There are several fabulous and challenging golf courses close by and the historical Shiloh National Military Park is also a must see.
