About Sati

Originally from the East Coast, I lived abroad for nine years. Happy to be back in the United States, I have been living in the Long Beach area of LA for a dozen years.

Passionate about yoga, I have been teaching classes and workshops for 17 yrs.

Sati purchased this house in 2013

Why Sati chose Joshua Tree

As soon as I saw this property for sale I fell in love with it and put an offer on it before I saw it. It was even better in person. I love the colors, the landscaping and especially the leaning Joshua Tree in the front yard.

I named it Saddleback Oasis because I knew it would be an oasis for not only me but those who choose to stay here.

What makes this house unique

Saddleback Oasis is close to both the entrance to the park and the Joshua Tree village which makes it perfect for out of town visitors to find their way around. Saddleback Oasis offers comfy modern living. You will feel right at home. With just a simple water cooler this house stays cool and fresh.

A Great Stay near Joshua Tree

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this home. The house was great - just right for our two families (with youngish kids, 2 of whom slept on the floors) with two proper bedrooms for couples and two full bathrooms. It is SO close to Joshua Tree park that we maximized our hiking time. We cooked in the kitchen (rinse your dishes well for this d/w!) and used the grill. The kids played in the yard and the big empty garage. We even dipped in the hot tub and viewed the stars. A great mid week stay! Thanks!

Quiet and beautiful desert retreat.

We loved our stay at saddleback oasis. It was perfectly located near the park entrance as well as close to all the grocery stores and restaurants in Julian. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Artist retreat. 4 miles to Joshua Tree.

Nice house, with everything we needed, except for a corkscrew! Also, the swamp cooler doesn't quite do the job needed when it is 115 degrees! We really would have loved an air-conditioner.

The house was so beautiful and the house was very convenient for us.

  • 3 of 5

The property was so beautiful and we loved the convenience of being in the heart of Joshua Tree and being around our favorite spots. We had fun being out. Unfortunately it wasn't as comfortable as we thought it would be. The house has a swamp cooler which made the living room only cold but the rest of the home was hot. We opened up the windows which we were told to do to make the house cool but it did not help. The master bedroom was the hottest room and that's the room I really wanted to enjoy and sleep in. It didn't get any lower than 90 degrees in the rooms for my parents. It was uncomfortable even with all the ceilings fans on. I wish there was an a/c Unit for the house at least just for the summer months, this place is ideal for other seasons just not summer months. It's dry heat, I'm from the desert, I'm use to it but for people who aren't use to this I wouldn't stay here in the summer. I just wanted a cold house to hangout in for my birthday and get away from Indio which is way more hotter than Joshua Tree. I would suggest the owner put an additional swamp cooler in the master bedroom and provide stand up fans for people who want to stay here in the summer, or just let guest run the a/c Unit for the summer months only. I really loved the stay though, that was the only downfall.

Saddleback Oasis is located one minute from downtown Joshua Tree where you will find antiques, a crochet museum, and vegan food. The village is known for its funky and artistic mood. My favorite spot to eat is Crossroads Cafe. Joshua Tree National Park entrance is 4 miles south!

The Integratron is just 10 miles down the road. It is a great place to take a day trip and experience the sound baths and learn about the history of how this place came to be. I promise it is a very interesting story!

Six miles east you will find out town Yucca Valley that has some of the best antique, funky art in the area.

Pioneertown is 12 miles up the road, the home top Pappy & Harriet's the famous local drinking hole who offers local and not so local live music.

Skiing by day, desert by night, 1.5 hours to Big Bear Mountain.

You will find 4 Golf Courses within 30 miles of Saddleback Oasis,

If you like shopping, the Desert Hills Premium Outlets are 40 miles west on the 10. Be sure to plan a few hours here as it is easy to get lost in the experience and Palm Springs is also 40 miles close.
