Heath Anderson purchased this house in 2005
Has been a goal to own this house for over two decades.
Owning, restoring, renovating a 115 year old home has been challenging and rewarding.
We visited Vernon for an annual Ladies soccer tournament this past May. For a change we decided to rent a house rather than the usual Hotels. What a fantastic decision!
Heath's home is absolutely wonderful and his service is exceptional. He responded quickly to all our questions and made our stay very comfortable. It is obvious he loves this house by the way its cleaned and cared for. Staying in this home is like a walk back in time. Historical décor, fixtures and artwork combined with modern appliances and plumbing made for a perfect mix of old and new.
We prepared our breakfasts and dinners in the spacious kitchen with large counter and stools. A great social time for everyone! The dinning room allowed us to have a large group comfortably dine together. The bedrooms were perfect and beds crazy comfy. We sat on the front veranda in the mornings for coffee over looking the entire downtown and lake, breathtaking!
We fondly named it "Castle in the Sky" and promptly booked it again for next year!
This well appointed grand old lady was a great place to stay for my sisters and I while in Vernon. Being in town, it's central to downtown restaurants and shopping and our relatives who lived near by. The house is comfortable and spacious with an east facing patio for sunny morning coffee and breakfast. The house is well equipped with good beds and quality sheets and towels. Having 3 showers really helped us get ready to go out. And the kitchen had everything I was looking for when making meals at home including serving plates and a tea set for a Birthday Party. The BBQ worked great for our salmon, too. My Vernon relatives were excited to see this historic home renovation. Thank you Heath for your responsiveness and hospitality.
The perfect home away from home for our family of six, while we stayed for four weeks. Location within walking distance to downtown, centrally located to parks, beaches and Silver Star. Making reservations and communicting with Heath via email was a breeze. Arriving to the beautifully decorated home with Christmas lights and Decorations was a beautiful touch. Thank you for your care, generosity, friendliness and kindness, Heath your home is wonderful.

This is a great location with easy access to town. Heath is very helpful, available and informative. Great option for exploring the upper Okanagan wine country.
Nice accomodations, one of the bedrooms open concept (no door).
