Relaxing and Memorable Stay

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place to stay! We were in town for a wedding and had 6 adults in our party. This amazing home is well laid-out, impeccably clean, and very comfortable (especially the beds and comforters). The large living room area made it easy to have family drop in to visit. Air conditioning units on both floors worked well to keep the house cool. It's up on a hill overlooking the town, in a quiet neighborhood. It was really nice to sit out on the covered decks and take in the amazing views of Vernon. We loved our 4 night stay and will stay again when we’re in Vernon again. Thanks Heath for your hospitality.

Queen Anne Heritage Home in Vernon

  • 4 of 5

We 5 adults and one toddler enjoyed this well appointed and unique historical property. The interior was clean and well maintained and the owner was generous in provision of amenities. We were surprised at how pleasant the interior temperature was as a result of the upstairs and downstairs standalone air conditioner units, in spite of the outside temperature being 30+ C.

The 3 bedrooms and 2 of the 3 bathrooms are upstairs which is something to take into consideration when booking if anyone in the group has difficulty with stairs. One bedroom is open to the hallway so we ensured the safety of the toddler in our group by having him sleep in one of the other bedrooms and keeping him away from the stairs and the low railings upstairs.

We would recommend this property to friends and relatives. There was not a lot of traffic noise. Behind the house are pleasant residential streets for walks and there is a park with a wading pool nearby.

Ideal for our purposes!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location in that it is a short walk to downtown area and beautiful view on east hill. Well equiped in updated character home.....yet holding on to the original charm. Heath's communication is exceptional. Clean, peaceful and roomy for housing 6 adults. We would definitely rent again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Heath!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Vernon for an annual Ladies soccer tournament this past May. For a change we decided to rent a house rather than the usual Hotels. What a fantastic decision!

Heath's home is absolutely wonderful and his service is exceptional. He responded quickly to all our questions and made our stay very comfortable. It is obvious he loves this house by the way its cleaned and cared for. Staying in this home is like a walk back in time. Historical décor, fixtures and artwork combined with modern appliances and plumbing made for a perfect mix of old and new.

We prepared our breakfasts and dinners in the spacious kitchen with large counter and stools. A great social time for everyone! The dinning room allowed us to have a large group comfortably dine together. The bedrooms were perfect and beds crazy comfy. We sat on the front veranda in the mornings for coffee over looking the entire downtown and lake, breathtaking!

We fondly named it "Castle in the Sky" and promptly booked it again for next year!

Thanks Heath,

Charley

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

This well appointed grand old lady was a great place to stay for my sisters and I while in Vernon. Being in town, it's central to downtown restaurants and shopping and our relatives who lived near by. The house is comfortable and spacious with an east facing patio for sunny morning coffee and breakfast. The house is well equipped with good beds and quality sheets and towels. Having 3 showers really helped us get ready to go out. And the kitchen had everything I was looking for when making meals at home including serving plates and a tea set for a Birthday Party. The BBQ worked great for our salmon, too. My Vernon relatives were excited to see this historic home renovation. Thank you Heath for your responsiveness and hospitality.
