|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Our home has 2 king suites and 2 queen bedrooms with 2 themed twin bedrooms. We have recently updated the home with tile flooring throughout the entire first floor. We have installed a brand new 55' HDTV in the living room as well. The game room located in the garage has also had a Mr. Slim unit installed in the garage along with a 52' tv for the xbox.
Our stay was from July 8th till the 16th, and the overall experience was fantastic. Check-in at the main gate was simple and quick. Arriving at the house, we found it to be very clean and well equipped with plenty of towels, kitchen items, and things to make our stay enjoyable. The pool was clean and very refreshing as the Florida summer heat was turned up during our stay. The house temperature was kept at an appropriate level for the entire stay. Yes, you can see the Disney Fireworks through the trees every night without fail. Yes, we did find a few cockroaches in the house but i will say that others within our group staying at other houses in the area were experiencing the same thing within their properties, so I'm guessing its just a Florida thing. A few burned out light bulbs made certain parts of the house darker than they should be, but a very simple fix. I would certainly recommend this house to others and would rate our overall stay very high. Thanks John for letting us be a guest within your beautiful home.
We rented this beautiful property for a quick getaway. In essence, I would say these are the cons / pros:
Pros: The house was very spacious, clean, and well kept. It is located in a very nice enclosed community. It had a fun play room (garage) and nice pool that our kids enjoyed thoroughly however it there was better lighting it would be great. There were a lot of towels available for us and the kitchen equipment was quite decent (pots, pans, plates, utensils, glasses, etc). The bathrooms were clean and bedrooms simple, but nice.
Cons: The owners or managers failed to provide some of the basics like - soaps, toilet paper, trash bags, salt & pepper, oil, etc. Things you'd expect to find at a home vs. a hotel. Also, it was very unfortunate as we found several cockroaches throughout the house - especially in the pool area, also in the kitchen, bathrooms, and stairs. We also had to wash the pots, dishes and utensils prior to using them as some seemed to have food residue on them.
Overall, we feel it was a fair price for the size of the property, but we expected a bit more from the owner / manager.
I think we will likely rent a house in this same community, but probably a different one.
Overall we enjoyed the house. Upon arrival, the property was clean and ready for us. There are multiple strollers, 2 pack n plays, a high chair, and 2 puddle jumpers for the pool making it very accommodating for us as we had 2 toddlers. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and all of the bedrooms were great in size. The one complaint we had was that both gas grills had empty propane tanks. We called the management office to inquire about it but no one answered and no one returned our calls. We were left to fill the tank (only filled one) ourselves. Maybe this is normal but paying as much as we did, we felt that the grills should be 100% ready for us to use. The house advertises that you can see the Disney fireworks from the patio however this is not the case. You can definitely hear them however the only sight you get is a few glimpses through tons of trees - if you look hard enough. Other than that, the house was great and we would stay here again.
We were very much looking forward to our stay at this rental property. We were extremely disappointed with many aspects of our stay.
Pros: Location. Close to Disney. Home size. Right number of bedrooms that met our needs.
Cons: Street address was given, but no instructions were given about how to get to the house. There is one entrance/exit to the gated community. It took us a very long time to find out where the entrance was. We ended up calling the Windsor Hills entrance gate to finally get the address to put in to the GPS so that we could get to the house. How was that information not included in the rental information? Wifi password had been changed, but homeowner didn't know, so the information wasn't updated in the information binder. It took a lengthy phone call to find out about the change, and a visit from property management to get the information confirmed. Pool heat that we paid for was not turned on. Another phone call to the property management, and a visit from maintenance staff to find out that the pump wasn't working properly and the heat wasn't turned on. Since the water level was so low, the filter wasn't working properly, so there was a lot of debris in the pool that we had to skim out by hand. The kitchen is beautiful, but extremely poorly equipped. There were more utensils pictured on the kitchen mat than there were in the drawers. Cooking was impossible. The thermostat had a mind of its own; instructions were that we were not to make any changes. Overnight the temperature downstairs would go to 70 and upstairs would drop below 60. During the day the temperature got up to 85 upstairs and just over 80 downstairs. It was freeze or fry. When the thermostat showed "disconnected", yet another call to property management. Since it was the holiday season, they weren't able to respond to this issue as quickly as we would have liked. While the beds were comfortable, there are mattress covers on all of them (to protect from leaks?) that squeaked when you sat on the bed, and the noise was awful when you tried to roll over, often waking us in the night. I understand the need for protection, but I thought that sleeping on the floor might have given me a more restful night sleep. Each bedroom and the living room had a TV and cable box with multiple remote controls. Instructions were left in the information booklet, but we were not able to get any of the TVs working on more than one channel. Overall, an incredible holiday disappointment
Lovely location in wonderful Windsor Hills.Peaceful after busy days in park. Very close to Disney and Universal only a short drive away. New restaurants seem to be opening on 192 and great Supertarget 5 mins away. Black Angus just up the road is a favourite as is IHop for breakfast.
All tools for home cooking in house available (when dining out not an option). Not overlooked, views across to Disney. Lovely warm pool and spa and with room for relaxing on large Lanai
Massive house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Suits large families. Access easy with key code entry
Dealt with the few problem that arose via management company within the hour.
Gate security welcoming and helps feel secure, barrier system for entry is fast. Lots of great facilities in clubhouse if you want to use them.
Have stayed here 6 years before and areas have been updated. Like any property could do with a bit up updating in the other areas. Good info pack in house and details on take away delivery services essential.
Games room great (could do with a few more x-box games being available)
Previous villas have offered a welcome pack on arrival with milk, juice, drinking water etc for the first day before getting to supermarket. Maybe an idea to offer something like this?
Will be back to Windsor Hills soon as the houses are generally excellent and the best location in the area.
The Walt Disney World resort is 3 miles away!!! Windsor Hills is the closest five star resort to Disney
