Relax at the beach without the hassle of being directly ON the beach! This family friendly villa is just north of Pacific Coast Highway and a half mile from Newport Beach peninsula. From the Sunset Park bluff overlooking the peninsula, only a 15-minute walk (or better yet, a 5 minute bike ride) to the sandy beach and Pacific Ocean. The Newport Pier is just another mile south (5 more minutes) along the beautiful beach boardwalk.

Enjoy a dual-master bedroom layout with two full bathrooms, beautiful wraparound balcony and sun deck, hardwood floors, two DVD players, three TVs, fireplace, internal laundry services, and a open kitchen with all-marble countertops, huge skylights, and stainless steel extra-deep sink.

Fun and modern style remodeled 2013. Second master bedroom has two twin kids beds. Can be pushed together for European-style queen bed for couple. Inflatable queen-sized bed available (not included) sleeps another two.

Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Queen Mary, and the famous Newport Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza shopping centers are a half hour away. LEGOLAND is 90min away. Sea World is 2 hours. Visiting someone at Hoag Hospital? You could throw a frisbee and hit the medical center from the condo balcony.

Fabulous seafood dining is within five minutes or rent a bike and experience the beautiful Newport Beach boardwalk as the sun sets behind Catalina Island.

Why Property Manager chose Newport Beach and Balboa Island Area

You want to have a family beach vacation, but the rentals right on the sand are a Hassle! No parking, very crowded, and Tiny! Also, beach housing are usually 60+ years old with bad plumbing and poor lighting.

The Villa Balboa community where Casa Cristina resides was built in the late 80s and the top-floor location means tons of natural light though huge skylights.

What makes this condo unique

Inflatable queen-size bed available to sleep 2 additional guests (not included). Wraparound balcony has barefoot-soft grass and bright bold sun chairs to drink in the SoCal sunshine with privacy. Please note the balcony does not face the ocean. Two pools to choose from -- serenity or family fun. Huge 15-person whirlpool jacuzzi. Tennis courts! Boogie board and beach bag ready for sand castle construction. Elegant marble kitchen countertops. Internal laundry services (clothes washer and dryer), ironing board.

Great perks here including the management. You can tell that this unit was lived in by the owner prior to it being a vacation rental, and so the setup was very abundant and practical. Plenty of towels, reclining beds, functional patio furniture. When we left our unit, we actually forgot my 3 year old's sleep sack and Steve actually met up with us the next day to hand it back to us. Awesome!

Amazing hidden gem! Returning soon!

Had the pleasure of staying at Casa Cristina for a must- needed rest and relaxation. The condo was beautiful, clean, well-appointed, homey and easily accessible to wonderful restaurants and markets. Since I love to cook, having a well stocked kitchen and a Trader Joe's up the street were amazing bonus. I also loved the two tones of paint in the various rooms-- and thought the accent walls added a lovely touch. I also enjoyed the lovely and thoughtful decor-- clear time and care was taken in setting up the condo. It was also very quiet-- and I was able to catch-up on some much needed sleep.

The property manager, Steve, was amazing. He thought of every little detail down to a binder with local places to go. He was also very friendly and willing to answer any question in a very timely manner. This place is a hidden gem and I look forward to a return visit soon.

Casa Cristina es de esos lugares donde te quedarías a vivir...

El apartamento es amplio, cómodo y luminoso. Es tan cálido y acogedor que uno se siente como si fuera su hogar apenas entra...

La ubicación es privilegiada. Con mi familia íbamos a la playa en bicicleta o caminando.

Me encantaba recostarme a leer y tomar sol en el balcón.

Steve es súper atento y siempre estuvo a nuestra disposición por cualquier inquietud.

This newly remodeled condo is just a few minutes by bicycle to the beautiful Newport Beach strip, lots of restaurants, and entertainment. Located in a high-end gated community, this condo is close to the freeway, grocery stores, and Fashion Island shopping. Don’t forget Disneyland and Legoland are just short car ride (or Uber) away! Parking in front of the condo was never a problem, and the community swimming pool was a favorite with my two children. I would definitely come back in the future!

Beautiful property up the hill from the ocean

This property suited our needs perfectly! It is close to the ocean, a block from Pacific Coast Highway and only a few blocks from the start of the 55 freeway. The condo itself has a nice kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths, a living area and a lovely balcony area suitable for grilling, sunbathing, and outdoor dining. The place is quiet -- our neighbors were courteous and we were never kept awake by late night revelry. On the hottest days the AC worked well.

The condo complex has a gorgeous common area with pools, spas, grills, and tables for our use. We had friends over a couple of times and found the common facilities clean and uncrowded and wonderful for entertaining.

Adequate parking is right outside our building, usually one or two stalls from the entrance. We never had to go far to find parking for ourselves.

* Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc ? Yes

* Was the property clean and well-maintained ? Yes, the condo was clean. Not only Casa Christina, but the entire complex is nicely maintained. Bushes were trimmed, walkways swept, common area grills and tables clean, etc.

* Did the owner provide good customer service ? Yes. He made arrangements for us to get into the property, leaving a note specifically for us. The one time when we contacted him regarding cable service, he went above and beyond to allow us to use a PVR.

* Would you recommend this property to your friends or relatives ? Absolutely! The price was reasonable, the location beautiful, the condo peaceful and quiet with nice amenities.

* What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike nearby ? Landlord has a binder full of places to go in the area, including restaurants, parks/beaches, amusement parks, etc. We particularly enjoyed just being at the property, going to the beach, and watching the new Huntington Beach Air Show.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed not only the condo but also the gated community. It's really well maintained by the staff groundskeepers and landscaping crew. The common areas are cleaned and vacuumed every week even if they haven't been used. The weather in Newport Beach means you can use the pool and jacuzzi year-round! Hope to see you next year, John!

Relaxing SoCal Spring

We traveled from overseas to the fair shores of Newport Beach and were very satisfied with "Casa Cristina" as our Springtime retreat in Southern California. The condo has everything you could need - this is not a scaled down empty apartment. Fully furnished with thoughtful amenities, fully stocked kitchen, laundry room, two bathrooms, two master bedrooms! You could stay here year-round (and we would love to).

The condo community is very close to the famous Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and minutes away from the Newport Beach pier. There is a local Enterprise Rent-A-Car on PCH that will pick you up and drop you off. They offer great weekend deals on small compact cars. The pools and gym at Villa Balboa condo association were top notch.

A FABULOUS CONDO!!

I spent a month in Casa Cristina and it was the best 1 month I could wish for in LA! The Condo is very well maintained, super clean and spacious. The house is equipment with all the things one would expect to see in a 5 star hotel and more. The condo is located in one of the best places in the OC with only minutes away from the beachfront. Steve, the Property Manager, is excellent and attended to any additional requests or inquires we had in a very friendly and timely manner. The condo is also very well priced compared to other rentals in the area that offer so much less ! I highly recommend it for any visitors & I look forward to staying here again in my future visits.
