Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

i can't say enough good things about this home. The kitchen was perfect- spacious and thoroughly stocked. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms had an abundance of towels for our comfort. Loved the front porch where we played Scrabble and relaxed. We're greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh coffee beans we could grind in the lovely kitchen. Close to everything in downtown Portland.

Beautiful, convenient hideaway in Portland

  • 5 of 5

Stayed three nights in this quaint, convenient two-bedroom in Nob Hill. The property is located just three blocks from the Pearl district and about a mile from Washington Park. It is also within close walking distance of several shops, restaurants and grocery stores. It is located on a quiet street and is great to come home to after a day of exploring.

The property has two private suites (one upstairs and one downstairs), a nicely appointed kitchen, and a great dining room, sitting room, sun room and back patio. We made good use of all of these.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in mid-August 2017.

Booking and advance arrangements were very efficiently handled by Debra. We found the house easily (navigating the Alphabet district in PDX is very straightforward). We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and coffee along with the binder of local tips and recommendations.

The configuration is ideal for couples or families with young kids that can share a bed. Parking is on the street and permits are provided by the homeowner. Everything you can think of is available within walking distance. Great restaurants on 21st and 23rd, downtown a 10-15 min walk away and a coffee shop on the corner. Rental bikes are also available nearby. My wife and daughter even found time to go to a soccer game at Providence Park, which is also within walking distance.

The house is very well maintained and fitted with premium appliances, furniture and fixtures. The owners are available for any questions or issues although we did not encounter any.

5 stars - will look to stay here again next time we are in PDX.

PROS: Central, clean, spacious and well appointed

CONS: (not related to property) - VRBO booking fee is excessive

Portland's Perfect Place...in a Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

Extremely clean, well maintained, fully stocked Victorian home in Nob Hill! Sun porch is the perfect spot for your morning coffee...bedrooms very comfortable, bathrooms stylish, and the location is beyond perfect. If you come to explore the city of Portland, you literally would never need to get in your car...restaurants, breweries, stores, parks all close by...if you want to explore areas outside of the city, it provides easy access to all of the major routes heading to the Columbia River Gorge, Willamette Wine Country, and beyond. Definitely recommend staying here...one of the very best VRBO's we have ever rented! Owners even left a welcome bottle of wine & bag of local coffee for our use...nice touch!

A Spectacular House

  • 5 of 5

What a spectacular find! We've stayed in VRBO apartments and homes all over the country, and this is our favorite. The kitchen is full of utensils, knives, serving dishes, and appliances that are a cook's dream. And the kitchen/dining/porch area is such a glorious space to relax with family or friends. There's also a separate porch in back of the house with a charcoal grill and plenty of seating under a canopy of trees.

There are two bedrooms in this part of the house; but in a separate VRBO listing, "The Perch," which is the 2nd floor of the house - you can rent three more bedrooms in another beautiful space.

The furniture is gorgeous and well-appointed, and the bird theme is a delight to behold at every turn. Debbie was amazing to work with.

LOVED, loved this home.

In addition to the excellent suggestions of other guests, check out an authentic French bakery called St Honore and the extraordinary restaurant/charcuterie, Olympia Provisions - on NW Thurman, a few blocks from each other, and about a 5 minute drive from the house.
