Cozy and peaceful
The process was simple and communication was excellent. The property is as described and very clean and well stocked. The gravel lane was a little treacherous in a couple of spots, could use a load of gravel and some grading in spots, but added to the remoteness and privacy of the site. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porches, hearing the stream and the birds and other critters in the forest. This place is a taste of a simpler life. Not fancy but sweet and cozy, with all the conveniences you need. It's about 15 minutes to get to stores and restaurants.
Cell phone reception is pretty much nonexistent, but the internet works very well and there is a land line for guests to use, so that was fine.
Overall a very good experience, we would come again!
House and property was beautiful, very peaceful couldn't ask for a better place!
Will be back definley!
Great house that was only 15 minutes from the rafting location. Comfy beds and SO much more room than a hotel! I loved this house!!
It hurts my heart to leave this beautiful place. We were looking for peace and quiet, we found it here. Made some great memories that we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. Marcelle was awesome. We will be back soon.
The property and the setting was breaathtaking. My wife Loreta went all the way to the top of the T
Property was great, clean spacious and comfortable. Had trouble getting TV to work, but figured it out. Nice and quiet there. Beautiful surroundings, a bit out of the way to visit Biltmore, but we made it and then drove 2 hours on the Blue Ridge, Ate at a great restaurant near by called Bonnie and Clydes. Great food . Seemed pricy for the area, but we enjoyed it a lot.
Great place to stay with plenty of trails and privacy
We stayed a long weekend and enjoyed the seclusion while being close to Asheville and Marshall. Marshall, by the way, is a find. Small town, great people and really good places to eat and, of course, a brewery.
I recommend this place. I took a star away because I love to cook and the kitchen was small and (gasp) no wine glasses. There was not grill or fire pit outside. My wife is already planning our next stay there so I think that speaks for itself.
Rare, head of the mountain location with privacy and comfort in the heart of nature's beauty. Within walking distance of horseback riding with the welcoming, warmhearted folks at Sandy Bottoms Trail Rides. The Farmhouse and The Cabin are only three miles from the beautiful French Broad River. Blue Heron Whitewater Rafting is a short five miles away. A beautiful seven miles of scenic mountain roadways bring you to restaurants and shopping in the historic town of Marshall down alongside the River. From here you are only 30 minutes to Hot Springs as well. All of this and it's only 30 minutes to vibrant Asheville with its abundant shopping, museums, gardens, nightlife, and myriad other attractions and amenities.
