About Leah Wicker
This cottage was built in 1946 by my Grandparents - Estle & Velma Tarwater. My grandmother's family lived in Elkmont & Tremont before The Great Smoky Mountain National Park was established. My mother and her sister grew up in this house. Although both have moved away from Sevierville they decided to keep the homeplace for the family - a home away from home. We hope you enjoy your stay!!

Why Leah Wicker chose Sevierville
My brother, cousin and I spent two weeks every summer with our grandparents at this cute little cottage! We have wonderful memories here and hope you make memories for your family as well.
What makes this Cottage unique
This cottage is nestled in a small, quiet area - away from most of the noise. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the peaceful mornings. We are located 7 miles from Pigeon Forge.

Home Sweet Home
What a lovely, well stocked rental. We spent a decent amount of time at the cottage in the evenings and it was so comfy to kick back and watch a movie with the family. The kitchen had every possible dish or utensil imaginable. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s so much bigger than we had imagined and the third bedroom was such a nice surprise! Our only cons were the lack of cable, it’s antannae only but luckily with the few channels that we did get, we were able to catch our big college rival game of the season (Go Bucks!) Also, the ladybugs were excessive but they didn’t bother us at all. Not the first rental we’ve stayed in with ladybugs ☺️ Overall, we would love to stay here again. So close and convenient to everything!
Clean and cozy
The house was clean and exactly what we wanted. We had no issues/problems during our stay. VRBO did not however, email the pre-stay information but Leah was able to get that to me quickly through her personal email. Would definitely stay here again.
This cottage was perfect. It felt as though we were minding an old friend’s home while they were away. It had everything you could ask for and so much more including a super quiet and convenient location. We just can’t say enough good things about the Tarwater cottage. I doubt that we would ever stay anywhere else while visiting this area. It was perfect !
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Tarwater in Sept of 2018.
The cottage was very clean with everything we needed. There was even a Weber grill and charcoal provided. The neighborhood was very quiet with little traffic on the street. We loved the deck chairs and cushions, it was pleasant to sit out there and have coffee in the morning.
Leah was quick to respond to our last minute booking.
We would stay here again if we are back in the area.
One of the nicest houses we have rented!
This house was priced fairly for the location and size. It was a great house to stay in and was a good location to access everything in the area. The house was somewhat private but in a very quiet neighborhood. The home was well maintained and had a great layout. Everything you could need to make your vacation work, from kitchen utensils to washer and dryer were included. The den was a great area for a movie night and the fire pit was a nice touch. We would rent this property again without hesitation.
Adorable cottage and a great hostess!
The cottage was adorable and close to everything! Leah was a fantastic host and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed.
For the 'best burger in town' stop by Frank Allen's Market & Grill in Sevierville (our favorite local hot spot). Drive to Dandridge, TN to Bush's Beans Visitor Center and Bush's Cafe for a great lunch. You must try their pinto beans with Sannie Mae's Chow Chow.
