When we discovered Lake Lanier our family fell in love with boating and enjoying the lake. And then we found this lake house! We loved renting this house so much we bought it! It is such a special place and we want to share it with those that love lake living, family, and the outdoors as much as we do. This is the place to relax and make lasting memories. We are excited for you to enjoy this very special place.
Brian and Andrea purchased this house in 2013
From the years of renting on Lake Lanier we learned what part of the lake attracted us most and we love South Lake where we can play on the water but have a short drive to a restaurant at night if we want to go out.
We also wanted a place with deep water, never wanting to own the home that went dry. After much research, we found the perfect home!
Private and quiet cove
Private beach area
Water views from the house
Easy access to the water and dock
Easy access to restaurants by boat
The home is beautifully furnished and fully equipped for a perfect vacation stay. The home is situated on a very calm cove allowing swimming and boating to be pleasurable. Our family will definitely go again!
Staying in this charming lakefront cottage truly is "Paradise @ Lake Lanier"!!!
Located just 30 minutes north of the suburbs of Atlanta, it is super easy to get to, yet once you are there you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We could fish, swim, ski, wakeboard, kayak, etc...anytime we wanted by simply walking down to the dock. We also enjoyed lounging dockside after a fun day on the lake. It's worth noting that this home is perfectly situated on a quiet cove, yet minutes by boat to some of the most popular and fun restaurants on the lake. Should you need it, groceries and restaurants are just a few miles away.
Everything was perfect! The kitchen was fully equipped for a week at the lake. We loved grilling out on the back deck every evening while watching the sunset. Once the sun went down, the kids loved building a bonfire and making smores while we enjoyed an adult beverage. The house was pristine and very comfortable.
The owners are terrific! Super easy to work with which makes for a stress-free vacation.
Everything about this house is fabulous!!!!!
When we first saw the pictures of this VRBO online, we knew this was the place for us. If you have a smaller party and do not need to sleep over a dozen, this house is perfect. We had 2 teens in our family with 2 others coming and going through the week to visit. The additional queen on the lower floor was perfect for other couples. And if needed, you can always bring a inflatable mattress or put someone on the comfy couches upstairs.
The walk to the lake dock is easy. Although there is only a ramp (no stairs) to the dock, you can walk around that. But only walk down during the day since there is not currently dock lights or walk lights. The dock storage bin has a lot in it that isn't mentioned in the listing or reviews. Soft chair cushions and the umbrella make sitting on the dock perfect. Make sure to bring bug spray!
The kitchen has practically everything except for a Keurig and pasta strainer. The refrigerator appears to be about brand new but not tons of ice so bring a bag of ice. Not a big deal.
Laundry is fantastic. You don't have to pack a ton of clothes because you can wash as you go. Just bring some laundry detergent packets.
The grill on the outdoor patio works very well. We grilled out almost every day. It's easy to get locked out there so make sure you leave a sliding glass door open.
The dock is easy. We rented a 25' pontoon from Port Royale Marina about 12 minutes north of the house. The lagoon just northeast of the lake house marina is perfect for tube towing and that sort of thing. We caught two fish during the week we were there: a 7" catfish and a 13" very heavy catfish.
The owner is very easy to talk to and work with! This house appears to be recently renovated so it was a dream to be in for a week. We had no complaints! The worst thing about this house had to be the part when we were having to pack up and leave!
We miss it already and hope to be back next year. Kudos to the owners for the love and details they put into the renovations and improvements,.
We took our children ages 11,8,5,3 to the lake for our spring break. We had the most amazing week. The kids just loved the teen suite, the set up is great. The house has everything one could need for a getaway. We grilled out almost every night on the patio. The living room is very comfortable. The master bedroom is amazing. The bed is huge and comfortable, waking up to the amazing view of the lake makes any day a great day. We especially loved the cove and the dock. This was our first trip to lake lanier and can not come back soon enough. Hopefully George's amazing home is available when we are ready to return.
A week is not enough to fully realize the beauty and tranquility of your Lake House. Could not use all of the amenities due to weather and time of year but the interior and exterior lacked for nothing. The Restaurants and grocery stores all were within 10 miles and once we got our bearings they were not hard to locate. George was a gracious host and quick to respond to any questions we had. All in all it was the nicest Lake House we have ever vacationed at. Thank you for a great week and plan to return ASAP.
This house has it all - a beautiful master suite, two additional bedrooms, an updated kitchen, gorgeous views of the lake with an easy walk down to lake, and a dock where you can sit out and relax by the water! The house was extremely clean and we enjoyed how it was decorated. We traveled from Indiana and were joined by family from Florida and Georgia. Everyone loved the accommodations! We were there in October but the weather was so nice we were able to go swimming and there is a ladder on the dock to make getting in and out of the lake easy. My husband and I enjoyed the two-person kayak also provided and used the dock to tie up the pontoon boat we rented for a day. This is a great location to explore northern Georgia. We spent one day enjoying the wineries up in Dahlonega and another day took a drive up to Helen which is known as "Georgia's Alpine Village" and has some neat Bavarian-themed shops and restaurants. We had an amazing week that ended way too fast.
