Walnut Hill is part of a 160 acre farm with plenty of room to roam the fields and hills behind the home. Guest can walk the fields behind all the way to Stay Down On The Farm. Traffic on the busy Hwy 25 can be a little noisy at times but the benefits far outweigh any distractions, actually kinda nice to watch the world go by. Oh yea, if you happen to be at Walnut Hill in the early fall you will find the name Walnut Hill appropriate. There are a few trees you might not want to stand under.
Local favorites include the Drug Store in nearby Cross Plains Tn. Thomas Drugs is on the register of historic places and the old soda fountain is just crazy good. There are caves to the north of Walnut Hill in Bowling Green and just north of Bowling Green Ky is Mammoth Cave. Several golf courses are near by, Kenny Perry's Country Creek is 12 miles away in Franklin Ky. White House, 10 miles south, offers several nice place to dine out and shopping for dining in.
