RESTRICTED TO 7 PEOPLE MAXIMUM. Cabin on a dead-end grave1 road overlooking a very private bay of Big Eau Pleine Reservoir (Over 6000 acres of water). Lots of wildlife.
Come and enjoy our family cabin. Sit on the dock and fish, or take your boat out on the 12 miles of water. Note that the dock is not always available for boats due to fluctuating water levels, but there is a very nice public landing 1 1/2 miles. Swimming is allowed, but there is no beach and not a great lake bottom. There is a very nice county park a few miles down the road that has a very nice beach area with shelters, playground, and grills. Wonderful area for tubing. Close to ATV trails. Also, two major snowmobile trails to jump on nearby. Enjoy your private hot tub under the stars!
We had a lovely time at the cabin. The weather cooperated and we were able to have a large bonfire in the yard. We loved the hot tub and walking on the ice. We had the best sunsets too. The living room was large and had lots of seating. On the down side, the house was smaller than I expected and bedrooms are small. The one room is so small that it's hard to unfold the futon as it is so close to the bunk bed. Since we were 7 single women this was probably more of an issue than if there were kids in the room. We also couldn't figure out how to use the washer, not that it really mattered though. We were only staying for 3 nights. The game room had a funny smell, so we didn't use that at all, but since it's detached from the house, we probably wouldn't have used it much anyway. We were there mainly for the lake, the yard, and the bonfire pit. All of those things were great. Oh and the coyote tracks on the ice were pretty cool too.
We had a wonderful weekend here. It is so peaceful and beautiful I would recommend it to anyone who needs a getaway or a romantic weekend. The house is immaculate and every amenity from paper towels to pancake syrup is provided. The beds are comfy and the game room is fun. I have absolutely no complaints and can't wait to plan another getaway here soon!
Perfect location, private, away from all the hustle and bustle. Beautiful scenery. Lots of things to do at the house without having to leave. We used the game room and firepit the most believe it or not. The inside of the home was nice and has everything. You really don't need to bring anything very nicely stocked. The outside needs a little maintenance but nothing that hindered our getaway. Just a suggestion, maybe provide something of what is expected before leaving. A to-do list perhaps. I did have to a little housekeeping when I got there and clean up before we left. Over all I would recommend this home. Has all the comforts of home away from home. It was very convenient to the airport for me and just the perfect weekend getaway. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back!
House is amazing!!!. Has everything what you need. Inside is very cozy and good to relax. Space outside is huge. Have fire pit, grill, play set for kids and what my friends really like it Hot Tub. I think they spent more time there then in a play room :) Another awesome place. Bunch of games for every age. Sunroom with a lot comfortable furniture will protect you from rainy days. House is perfect for groups or families. I definitely want to come back.
Very nice location. The house is cozy and the playroom is an awesome bonus (we were especially gratefull for it, the one day when it rained the whole day). The back yard is fantastic, with great views of the water (especially beautiful in the morning) and very spacious. Overall a wonderful place!!!!
This was a wonderful place in which to gather for a weekend with some old friends. The house and playroom were second to none and gave us lots of space to spread out, and shuffleboard was an incredible bonus. We really enjoyed the yard, deck, and hot tub as well, and it was nice that the yard was shaded so that we were not exposed to direct sun all day long. The cabin is in a beautiful area, with plenty of nice roads for biking - they are some of the best maintained dirt roads you will find anywhere. While the entrance to the river is definitely muddy, getting out onto the water could not have been more convenient. Overall, a great place to spend some time, and we would return for sure.
