Overview

New York Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 5

.

Newly constructed log sided cabin with all new appliances and furnishings. Private dock on Lake Algonquin with kayaks and a canoe for your use and a three minute walk to the Town Beach (we'll even supply a wagon to transport those beach chairs, cooler and beach toys). One mile from the boat launch.

One bathroom with tub and shower and washer/dryer. Fully furnished modern kitchen with stainless electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. Living room with 32' flat screen TV with built in DVD player, Dish Network, WiFi and furnished with unique Adirondack style furniture.

A full size screened in porch is perfect for reading, relaxing (or maybe napping) in the afternoon or a peaceful dinner in the evening. The kids will probably want to sleep out there so don't forget the air mattress and sleeping bags.

Take a short walk to Torts Ice Cream Shop or the Community Hall for tennis, basketball or the playground. Enjoy dinner at the Alpine Restaurant and don't miss the experience (and great food) of stepping back forty years into an authentic, friendly Adirondack family owned diner at the Hope Diner just five miles south of town.

We are about a 1 hour scenic drive to Lake George and The Great Escape Theme Park and the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake so you can take a day trip and still return to the peace and quiet of your cabin in the woods.

We are located in the heart of the Southern Adirondacks. Providing lakes to swim, fish and boat in, mountain ranges and water falls to photograph, back roads to explore, the freshest air that you ever breathed and on a clear night an array of stars that challenge the imagination.

We provide an ideal cabin for the family that wants to experience an Adirondack vacation in the woods with the convenience of nearby lake access, hiking, boating or just exploring. An experience that will keep you coming back year after year.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great and immaculate and Gerry and Susan could not have been nicer. Cabins are decorated and constructed in Adirondack style which adds to the experience. The kids loved using the kayaks. I wish we stayed longer. We will be back!

Great Setting

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was exactly what I had in mind. Small/Cozy but well appointed and very well maintained. The cabin was very clean and definitely had everything you would need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. It did not seem like there were many stores or restaurants within close proximity but there is a great fire pit and a charcoal grill right outside. Although we weren't there longer enough to do laundry there is a washer and drier which is a really useful to have especially when staying near a lake. There was not a dishwasher but that was no big deal at all. They do have Wi-Fi which is a necessity. There are two cabins which appear to be identical so it would be a great and very reasonable arrangement for two families.

It is situated on a nice lake and the owners make their kayaks and canoe (and life jackets) available at no cost. There is also a nice beach within a about 100 yard of the cabin. Gerry one of the owners made sure to come up and introduce himself and tell us the pertinent information. There were also very helpful instructions and information in the cabin. There are some great hiking spots very close by. I am sure we will stay there again in the future.

Cozy and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their properties . The cabin was immaculate with special touches not typically found in rental properties. The location is excellent for hiking, unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of the canoes/kayaks due to the weather. Highly recommend the cabin!

Slovak crew

We had a wonderful time at Ruby Hills log cabin with our family of 4. Our boys loved it, with their own loft and screened in porch so they didn't get mosquito bites. I was glad for the nice quality cabin and furniture and kitchen and washer dryer to wash clothes from swimming and hiking. The lake being right there, beach and kayaks included were excellent! Thank you for a great stay. We have already recommended this to friends.

Lovely cabin in a peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay in a lovely new log cottage with a spacious kitchen and large screened in porch. Comfortable living room & bedroom, easily negotiated stairs to the loft with twin beds, and attractive “woodsy” décor throughout. Just the right blend of privacy and feeling we had neighbors nearby. Numerous kayaks at the owners’ dock to paddle around and explore Lake Algonquin. So glad we found this place! We will be back!!

Relaxing and cozy

  • 5 of 5

If your looking for a relaxing, off the beaten path getaway this is def the place to go. Gerry and Susan were wonderful hosts with lots of great ideas and suggestions for places to eat, go hiking or just hangout by the fire. The cabin was emaculate and everything you could want/need was provided. We will def be coming back.

Thank you for a great time,

Jackie & Pat
