About Judy Schall

We live in Calabasas CA. We are fractional owners of Villa 1. The von Trapp family owns and manages the resort.

Judy Schall purchased this villa in 2011

Why Judy Schall chose Stowe

We love to vacation in Stowe because there is so much to do, the restaurants are amazing, and it is more peaceful than going to a crowded beach in the summer.

What makes this villa unique

The Villas at Trapp Family Lodge offer the privacy and comfort of a home within a world-class resort. The food at the resort is tasty and fresh. Beef, pork, chicken, eggs, vegetables, maple syrup, and beer are produced on-site. There are plenty of activities within walking distance. The villa is adjacent to hiking, biking, and cross-country ski trails.

Villa September

  • 4 of 5

The villa we stayed in was well-appointed and very clean inside. The owner was a true pleasure to work with -- going out of her way to try to make our time as pleasant as possible.

Wonderful Family Vacation in Stowe at Trapp Family Villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Stowe, VT at one of the Villas at the Trapp Family resort. The villa was spacious, well-decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing, fun family vacation. The villa's 3 bedrooms are all good sized with attached bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Plenty of towels! Balconies/decks off each bedroom. The family room had a big window with a beautiful view - that changed every day and throughout the day. Beautiful sunrises and sun sets. Mist/clouds settled in the valley or across the mountains - it was lovely. We were out and about around the resort every day. We swam in one of the pools every day and used the hot tub. We walked all over the grounds. Ate dinner one night and picked up snacks at the deli. We took the Maple Sugar Tour - it was fantastic - and of course we bought Trapp Maple Syrup to take home! We ate many meals at the villa, sitting out on the screened porch or on the deck or at the large kitchen table. There were only 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 children, but we could have easily housed another family and had plenty of room for all. A wonderful vacation and felt the villa and the resort facilities were well worth the price paid! We also enjoyed Stowe and the surrounding area - hiking, biking, kayaking, Ben & Jerry's tour, Cabbot Cheese tour, etc. Great restaurants and shops, too - Piecasso restaurant and Harvest Market were our two favorites. Enjoy!

Trapp Villa Rental

  • 5 of 5

The property was just what we wanted for our family. Well appointed and well maintained excellent layout and staff at Trapp were very friendly and helpful. Only problem being that we were charged by the resort for some things that we assumed were part of the rental. The information given to us did not clearly spell out exclusions. We had an event at the lodge and had friends and family staying at the lodge in several rooms, and yet we were charged for afternoon tea that was complimentary to the hotel guests but not us in the villa. Not clear. Also some of the activities at the resort ( climbing wall ) required fees to be paid. Again not clearly spelled out.

All in all the resort and in particular the villa were just what we wanted and met all of our expectations. Nearby activities were excellent and great restaurants
