Fishing and Hunting
Fishing and wildlife resources at Eufaula Lake provide a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Year-round fishing is good, but for total outdoor experience, spring and fall are the best times of the year, with excellent fishing and with some of the most spectacular scenery in the State of Oklahoma. Striped bass, large mouth bass, white bass, crappie, catfish, walleye and numerous sunfishes provide most of the sport and pan fishing success.
Project lands are open for public hunting, except for developed park areas and lands in the vicinity of the dam and other project structures. The principal game species include bobwhite quail, deer, cottontail rabbit, squirrel, duck, geese and mourning dove.
Hunting and fishing are regulated by state and federal laws, and the same licenses are required as in other parts of Oklahoma. Public hunting maps showing both Corps and State areas open for hunting are available from the Eufaula Resident Office at the dam or the Tulsa District Office.
Camping and Picnicking
Nineteen park areas have been developed by the Corps of Engineers. The State of Oklahoma maintains two park areas, including covered fishing docks, stables, nature trails, service docks, golf courses, campgrounds and air parks. An area of 110 acres is leased to the City of Eufaula for a public park. Improved access roads lead into the park areas, all of which have boat launching ramps. The major camping sites and picnic areas are furnished with restrooms, parking areas, picnic shelters, drinking water, charcoal grills and trash containers. Numerous commercial concessions around the lake provide visitors with supplies as well as dining and recreational opportunities.
Boating on the lake is in accordance with Oklahoma boating laws and Corps of Engineers regulations. Regulations governing operational requirements of boats may be obtained from the Eufaula Area Office near the dam.
Not a huge fan of the price, but there is absolutely nothing to complain about with the home and property itself. Everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the location is beautiful and practical for all of the activities you can think to do at a lake house. The cabinets were sell stocked with everything we could need, which says a lot because our group consists of several intense cooking professionals. There is nothing at this home that will disappoint you, I can promise you that, unless you are impossible to please.
The house interior is lovely and spacious. The furnishings are upscale. Plenty of beds. Loved it!!!!!!!!
This was a great place for a family get together of brothers and sisters from several states and their extended families. A yearly retreat of ages from 1 to 65. There was plenty of room inside and out for everyone. Was enjoyed by all.
We used this great house for a martial arts retreat. The home was well furnished and comfortable. The check-in/check-out was seamless. And the property had plenty of room for us to get out there and work out.
Such a nice house. Perfect for our families to meet up and have a fun weekend together!
We enjoyed our stay and all 12 had plenty of room. Flooding ruined any access to the lake from the house. The mud was so thick we couldn't even get close. I would have appreciated a heads up about this from the property owner but oh well. The neighbor was kind and reminded us that cooperheads had come out due to the water being in the trees and advised us not to let the kids go out there. I would have not thought about that. Really, the saving grace to our trip was Jellystone. $10 per person for all day. It was wonderful and well worth the money.
The house is located just south of Texanna Rd off of Highway 69. The addition is Bridgeport Beach which is down the access road just past North Fork Baptist Church
