Here’s why this is the best deal on Maui: My unit is on the first floor. This means you walk out the door—and you’re on a lawn that slopes gently down to the ocean—some 100 feet away. Further, I’m on the far end of the complex, so you’re almost always alone if you want to spend time in the sun: The pool, Jacuzzi, and BBQ pits are on the other end of the complex.
Think of it! You come to Maui for peace & renewal, on the one hand, and easy access to every activity, on the other hand. That’s exactly what you’ll get in my condo.
At a really reasonable price.
The other listings explain what Maalaea has to offer. It’s a central location, yet quiet and restful. The perfect place for a single or couple.
Here are the nuts and bolts: fully equipped kitchen and bath; A/C; clean, comfortable furnishings; washer/dryer; dishwasher; WiFi; big-screen TV; stuff you need for the beach (beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, boogie board); plenty of parking.
Easy 20-minute drive to the airport.
P.S. For reservations for fewer than 5 days, I ask renters to split the fixed costs with me (i.e., cleaning, key service, and insurance). It amounts to just over $140, so I add $70 to rentals of 3 or 4 days. Thanks for understanding!

I teach for the University of Phoenix.
David Libhart purchased this condo in 2002
I've lived in 4 places on Maui and this location is the best combination of central location, proximity to the ocean, and isolation.
I love that I can step outside my living room, plop down on a lounge chair, and read & relax--and get plenty of sun. And I'm usually alone.
In the mornings, I jog along Maalaea Beach.
It's just a little piece of paradise.
The unit is well located in a quieter part of Maui, away from the busy areas of Lahaina and Kihei, but also centrally located so it was easy to get anywhere. Our favorite part of the unit was the view from the Lanai which got really nice morning sun. You can access a small beach right across the yard. Although we didn't get the check in information, and luckily had the owner's number, the owner was friendly and helpful when we called and asked where to go and how to check in. The description of the unit is accurate, the complex is quiet, and the kitchen is well supplied. Would recommend this place to anyone going to Maui.
The condo was perfect for our week on Maui! We could see the ocean and sunrise from the bedroom and hear the waves each night. Loved that the unit was ground floor so we could walk out into the backyard area. It was also great to have bbqs available, which we took advantage of a couple of nights.
We loved being centrally located on the island as we spent each day exploring a new area and the condo location kept our travels times reasonable. Having a dish washer and in suite laundry was great as well.
Dave was very responsive and accommodating to our needs around check in and check out times. He truly went above and beyond.
We will definitely request to stay in this condo in the future when we come back to Maui!
Clean, comfortable, easy access from the parking lot to the condo. The complex is on a dead end road, with a nice little park at the end of the road, and is just a short walk or drive (if you choose) from the condo. There is also a short, small beach area right in front of this condo. I tried swimming there, but there were large rocks/boulders.just beneath the surface of the water. (The park down the street was much better for swimming.) If I get the chance to return to Maui, I'll be looking to book this condo again!
Perfect location, perfect size for the 2 of us and great price. It is centrally located so we had easy access to the activities we had planned. I recommend this ground floor unit highly. You get a beautiful view of the ocean and easy access.
Open the Lanai door and walk right out to the ocean within seconds. The view is outstanding! If you enjoy watching the sea turtles, this is the place to be as they are in abundance in this area. The condo was clean, the kitchen had adequate utensils, the bed comfortable, and the shower provided great water pressure. There was ample beach equipment provided which was greatly appreciated. The pool was really nice, although small, but never crowded. The beach is not a swimming beach, however, you can snorkel from the complex's beach area. There is a nice beach within walking distance.
The reason for only giving the condo a three was due to a few different factors. The living room furniture was quite uncomfortable and the sliding door to the Lanai is almost impossible to open and shut. Since we are an older couple, who spends around 60% of our time in the condo, having comfortable furniture is a must. Also, there is only one TV in the unit, located in the Living room. We were surprised not to have one in the bedroom. Now, if you are younger and plan on being out most of the time, the above things will not matter to you.
We have been to Hawaii many times and stayed in many different Condo's. We have found that all of them provided at least a couple days worth of trash bags, dish washer soap, etc. There was only one trash bag which was in the wastebasket, no dish washing soap provided, and the unit has only ONE wash cloth for the bathroom.
Lastly, a couple of the permanent residents who live there are rude, hateful, and nosey. I always smile and try to start conversations with people but these people would not have anything to do with us, but they did find it necessary to talk down to us a couple of times, in a rude and demeaning tone. If you are a person who can do the same as we did (just smile and move on), then you will be find staying in this complex. Everyone else we encountered though were very pleasant to talk too.
If you'd like to stay for fewer than 5 nights, that's OK. I'll have to charge an extra $70, which represents half of the cleaning fee and hostess fees. Thanks for understanding!
