This cozy little house sits right on Indian/Barnabee Lake. This lake is a quiet no motor lake that offers swimming, (with large floating dock in the center) boating, catch and release fishing (Trout, Bass, Pike). Great little fire pit is lovely on a cool night or any time you feel like a toasted marshmallow!
The house has a wrap around deck, is well decorated with a fully stocked kitchen, clean linens, and for your enjoyment, a canoe, row boat and paddle boat are available.
Ideal for a private couples get away, a small family retreat, or a group of friends to kick back and relax. Stay at home to BBQ or go into town for some fine dining and shopping. Play at home or go out and explore the nearby trails, rapids, and quaint little towns. There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
This house has been in our family for 25 years and we purchased it from our in-laws in 2008 because they were selling and we couldnt let it go. We have four children who all grew up swimming there, skating there, skiing nearby, hiking trails...growing up like we wanted them to, in the great outdoors...spying on birds, snakes, deer and rabbits. At the same time we had all the comforts of home as we are not quite the 'rustic' types.
Rose Russo purchased this house in 2008
This property is great because it is SO EASY! The lake is literally off the back deck. The house is virtually maintanence free. Everything is on one floor (except for the ping pong table and foosball table in the basement along with the washer and dryer) The basement is unfinished but great in a pinch when you need to be inside.
The view of the lake from the living room, kitchen or dining area is terrific in every season at every time of day. Its a great place for summer BBQ and partys or winter festivities and skating.
Lots to enjoy. Cozy home and lake. Two thumbs up!
The lake was the perfect size for my 6 and 10 year old to explore! It was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet.
Beautiful house, cozy and comfortable. Me and my family spend 4 days there August 12 to the 15 and we love it . My boys 19 and 23 had such a good and goofy time on the lake and the canoe . Very relaxing! We got a little worry wen we realize there was no air in the house, but it was just fine,we left the windows open at night and was so nice. we will defiantly do it again,i will love to go there wen its chilly to have the fire on and use blankets wile sitting outside watching those big fish on the lake. That was one of my favorite things to due there ,having my cup of coffee in the morning on the deck and see the fish coming so close. The Antunes family will defiantly do it again.......
the 2 of us and a small dog stayed there the first week of this month.
we rent houses whole over NY for years, but this house was special when we arrived we looked at each other how clean this place was.WOW. the fishing was great the boating was a lot of fun stores close by and restaurands the same Thank you the Russo"s great place back next year for sure.
My friends and I were seeking a quiet retreat from New York City and this cozy lake house was perfect. The lake was incredibly warm, so it felt great diving in and swimming. Plus there were several boats and fishing rods, so we were able to get on the water and try for some fish. Inside everything was wonderfully kept up and clean. Highly recommended.
A very comfortable week-day stay. Our favorite spot was the newly re-built? deck with adirondack chairs. Canoeing and hanging out on the floating platform also a plus. JR
The best part of being up here is being here at the house. Not far in any direction will bring you to fine dining, eagles nest, hiking trails, antiquing, concerts at Bethel Woods...so much to explore. We would recommend lunch or dinner at Rolling River Cafe in Parksville and a must see little town is Livingston Manor and Fly fishing capital Roscoe!
