Our beautiful and modern apartment is located in a peaceful and yet exciting place with singular views of the smaller islands of Culebra, Vieques, and Palomino, which can be reached by ferry in just minutes.
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, fully furnished apartment overlooks Villa Marina. The ENTIRE condo is air conditioned. 95% of the other rental units in Peña Mar do not have A/C in the living areas. 2 Flat screen TV's, high speed Internet and DVD are there for your use. Enjoy all the comforts of home with our couches, queen size bed in the master bedroom, full size bed in the second bedroom, and a bunk bed with one full size mattress and one twin size on top in the third bedroom, all in 1,500 sq. ft. of living space with a gorgeous balcony. You'll have security and peace of mind. Most of the parking spots in Peña Mar are stacked one on top of each other. We offer 2 side by side parking spots for your car rentals.
Our condo is loaded with the basics and some additions that you will use during your vacation such as towels, coolers, chairs. Besides the kitchen utensils, we supply pans and pots. Beds are equipped with sheets and pillows only, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella are provided for your beach trips.
Peña Mar offers a ton of features not usually available in other condos in Puerto Rico. Gated entry with 24 hour security, elevators in all units, only two units per floor, granite counter tops, bidet, huge balcony with ocean view, 3 pools (one shaped like a boat, an infinity pool with a Jacuzzi, and one with a built-in slide the kids love.) For those of you who like to exercise, tennis and basketball courts are available and there's also a walking trail. Complex security is really strict, unregistered visitors are not allowed so you are invited to enjoy with your family in a gated community that provides peace of mind.
Peña Mar Ocean Club is the most desired location in Fajardo because of its resort style design. Our apartment's location is excellent. Only a 50-minute drive to San Juan International Airport, 15-minute drive to Luquillo Beach, 25-minute drive to El Yunque, the only tropical rain forest protected by the U.S. National Forest Service, 5 minutes to El Conquistador Hotel (great golf, spa, and restaurants), and 5 minutes drive from the famous Seven Seas Beach. We are located right next to Villa Marina, where a wide range of sailboat and catamaran charters are available to take you on daily trips to the cays for snorkeling.
You'll have access to numerous restaurants, movie theaters, various marinas, hospitals, pharmacies, and supermarkets. Nearby is the Fajardo Mall, where you can find just about anything you might need, including a Big K-Mart, and for those who enjoy serious shopping, Belz Outlets are only 30 minutes away.
One amazing advantage to staying in this apartment is that it's an extremely close drive to the Bioluminescent Bay of Fajardo. Many people that come to Puerto Rico want to have that experience but don't have the time or the chance to go because the tours get fully booked. But that will not be your case, you'll be minutes away and you won't need to wait for anybody to go because you'll have kayaks!
In addition, there is a number of large marinas in the area as well as an airport and a major nature preserve. The 316-acre Las Cabezas de San Juan nature preserve features a lighthouse that has been in continuous operation since 1882. The tour of this area includes the lighthouse, the mangroves, and the bio-luminescent lagoon. Reservations are required to enter the grounds and take the tour.
Fajardo is well known for its excellent day sailing, snorkeling and diving. The day-sailing trips normally take you to one of the nearby cays for a day of snorkeling, sunbathing and feasting (food and soft drinks are part of the deal). For the divers, there is excellent clear water all around the cays, with plenty to explore. Of course, the seafood in this area is fresh and delicious.
Villa Marina is right across the street from us where you can find daily catamaran charters that will take you out to the Icacos Cays for a day of snorkeling or just laying out on the beach. For a moderate fee you are treated to tropical drinks, water, lunch and all the fruit you can eat. The snorkeling gear is included. It is an experience you won't want to miss. About 10 minutes away you can reach Puerto Real where you can take a Ferry to visit our sister islands of Vieques and Culebra where you will find the most beautiful beaches. If you prefer to fly you can reach our regional airport in the town of Ceiba from where you can fly to Vieques, Culebra, St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands.

It has all you want to have when you're on vacation. Location, Side Beach View, Boat Rentals, Kayaks, Tennis Court, Parking, Restaurants, Bars and the best attractions of the East Puerto Rico Island.
It's close to the Bioluminescent Bay. Around 90% of the people that come to Puerto Rico go to the Bio Bay but don't get to take the kayak tour because it's fully booked. But this will NOT happen to you!! The property comes with kayaks!! So all you have to do is put them in your car and drive less than 5 minutes to the Bio Bay!!
Well when I arrived to the apartment no one always available for check in I have to wait 3 hours, the person in charge never answer my call (property manager) the finally the person in charge of that aprtment call me because the security guard find her, I do not have a key or beeper to get in the complex I have to wait every time for the security guard to get in sometimes he was doing the rounds and have to wait 15 minutes I believe this place should have a better system to get in to the apartment
My intention of my trip to Puerto Rico was to wow my kids and as soon as we entered the gates of this property their eyes lit up. The property stands out for it's well maintained grounds and newness. As we entered the apartment, it was like a scene from "The Real World" as my kids marveled and awed at where we were staying. I knew I had did an excellent job by choosing this location. The apartment is a piece of art. It is so beautifully decorated. Every corner has something to marvel at. Everything is new and in great condition. It's large and spacey and all your amenities are there, including a washer and dryer, which was wonderful after a day spent at the beach. As promised there were kayaks, a bike, golf clubs, cooler, beach chairs and many other recreational toys. It was beyond perfect. The Wifii worked great and we had cable TV. We didn't even want to leave the apartment at one point, especially after seeing the view from the balcony.. It was breath taking. We had a lovely breakfast on the patio on the last day we were there. At night my son spent an hour out on the patio taking it all in as he listened to the sounds of the coqui's and smelled the ocean. It's in an excellent location. El Yunque was about 15 to 20 minutes away. The ferry that takes you to Culebra and Vieques was 9 minutes away. Seven Seas is a beautiful beach, and there was a supermarket, Walgreens and several restaurants near by. The property manager was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place. It will make everyone smile!
We booked this property for 6 nights and left after 2 nights due to the following issues. All of these issues were raised with the property manager who refused to take ownership of any of them. The manager was unresponsive and someone we would never recommend working with. We tried negotiating an agreement on a partial refund which was not even considered. Keep looking and don't book this property.
1- When we arrived, no one was there to let us in. It was not possible to reach the owner and the property rep was apparently provided the wrong number to call us. We waited for over an hour in the parking lot after having flown all night.
2- The apartment was not stocked with toilet paper or basic supplies as advertised which forced us to go shopping immediately.
3- The surrounding area was advertised as scenic and close to the beach; however it was very unattractive to the south and drives to the beach were longer than expected.
4- We were never able to connect to the Wi-fi. The instructions provided did not work. We were forced to use data roaming connectivity to search for nearby restaurants and stores and connectivity was very limited and inconsistent. An email sent to the owner directly was never returned.
5- The pool and hot tub were both cold and unusable.
6- The toaster oven did not work.
Considering these series of issues all experienced within the first day, we were forced to book other accommodations in order to not waste our vacation. We incurred significant expenses as a result. We requested a partial refund for unused nights of our stay as an act of good faith and customer service; however this was quickly rejected by the previously unresponsive owner. We strongly advise you to keep looking and steer clear of this property due to unthical and misleading management.
My family and I stayed at this lovely condo for 10 days. We completely felt at home from the moment we walked in, everything was clean & in order. Rooms are exactly the way you see them in the pictures provided. The linen closet is fully stocked with bath & beach towels, linens & extra blankets. They also provide a nice size rolling cooler & umbrella to take to the beach, 2 chairs were provided as well but must be replaced because they were broken by the arms something we didn't realize until we got to the beach :( but we made it work. Other than that I would highly recommend this apartment to any and all of my friends/family and we will definitely stay there again on our next trip.
*restaurants* must go to El Fogon which is right down the road of the complex. Amazing food. Also, for a nice relaxing lunch must go to ' La Ola' right across the complex.

We rented this property for a friends and family getaway and had an amazing time. The property looks the same as pictured and had everything we needed in place. We took taxi but if you rent a car they provide parking spaces. The taxi drove us nearby to really cheap boats that takes you to Palomino and Icacos Island for just $25 bucks per person. We took a day to visit El Yunque forest and the Bio Bay during the night plus a Scuba trip the day after. It was really fun. As to what to eat we can reccomend some nearby restaurants that the food is great, such as Di Yukas, Pasion and Metropol. We will rent again in our next visit.
Clean, safe location, nice size rooms and bathrooms with privacy and nice shared space. Only negative is the bikes and kayaks. That was the draw for me and they turned out to be in the way. Kayaks, no tie-downs to put on car, or cart to wheel down to shore (2-3 block walk down hill), no life preservers. Bikes not sure where you would ride them! Plus tiers were flat no helmets or bike tire pump. The bikes had combo locks no info about what the combo was! 4 cup coffee maker, and no real serving dishes in the kitchen. Instead of bikes add some beach equipment and some info about the local area in the condo incase people do not want to use the internet, which was good in the unit. Little things that if fixed could make a big difference. Individual room a/c controls was nice, having a washer and dyer and dishwasher excellent. . . Label the keys so people know what they are for, was handed a set of 7-8 keys and no clue what was for what. The buildings are not well marked this unit is very easy to get to once you know which building to go in.
Fajardo has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. Make sure you go to Las Croabas fishing town for the catch of the day. If you're a golfer, El Conquistador is very close by. For amazing beaches, the smaller islands of Vieques and Culebra are your safest bet. Nearby Luquillo beach is also a Blue Flag beach reachable by car.
Some interesting places to visit: Loíza (bomba y plena), Canóvanas (the racetrack), Río Grande (fabulous golf courses and El Yunque, the Caribbean National Forest), Luquillo (the best-known beach on the Island, Balneario de Luquillo), Fajardo (day sailing to the cays of Icacos, Palominos and Palominitos), Culebra and Vieques (exquisite beaches), Ceiba (the Ceiba Forest), Naguabo (the seaside boardwalk), Humacao (a strip of excellent seafood restaurants), Juncos and Las Piedras (local artisans), Yabucoa (Lucía Beach) and Maunabo (the start of the Luis Muñoz Marín Route).
Other Activities: kayaking, boating, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, racquetball, basketball, horseback riding, Four Tracks, go karts, mini golf
Golf: El Conquistador Resort is really close but there are top quality courses all throughout the island.
