About the property

Located On The Road That Runs From Town To The Beach, It Couldn't Get Any Better

'Convenient to Ocean beaches, vineyards and the charming Village of Sag Harbor, this completely renovated 3 bedroom residence is beautifully situated on 3.70 acres with plenty of room to play or just relax. Gracious foyer flows to an open floor plan with beautiful kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, half bath and separate den/office. The spacious master suite with luxurious bath occupies the second floor along with two guest rooms and bath. The finished lower level offers extra space to play or workout, half bath and another finished room. There's extensive decking off the living area and, a few steps down, a gorgeous paved terrace area for wonderful outdoor entertaining. The property is grass and landscaped including extensive berry patches, and, in the winter you catch a glimpse of Round Pond (great for ice skating!)' We have a Fire pit area and BBQ area. These are favorites from our past guests. Perfect for entertaining or just roasting marshmallows with the kids. Please Note: There are no parties or gatherings out the house for more than 20 people due to insurance restrictions. The property is beautiful for weddings, but unfortunately, it is just not allowed.

About Karin Greene-Thomas

We bought this house to live in all year round, but now we reside in California and we would love others to enjoy it as well.

Karin Greene-Thomas purchased this house in 2007

Why Karin Greene-Thomas chose Hamptons

This house is not only totally modern, clean and beautiful, but it has everything you could ever need for a wonderful vacation. The location is absolutely perfect as you can get to either town or the beach in 5 minutes.

What makes this house unique

We are set on 3.7 acres of which 2 acres are totally fenced in, perfect for dogs. The house also has extensive decking and patios for entertaining and a children's playground to keep them happy. The house is extremely quiet and relaxing, but still just 2 miles from town to make for a fun vacation. The house couldn't be in a better location. It is right in between town and the beach. Just a very short drive to either one.

Beautiful, Spacious, New and Clean Property

It was such a great weekend spending time with friends in this house. The yard was huge and perfect for hanging around the fire during the evenings. Inside, the house was furnished with comfortable furniture and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and amenities that we needed. I was happy to see the house came with a coffee maker as well. The master bedroom and bathroom were a dream-- the shower was a relaxation haven and provided for such a great getaway. At this house, we stayed with all adults, so the only complaint from the group were the many beds in one room. We felt the office space on the first floor could have been utilized as a bedroom, so as to provide more privacy to guests that were staying.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! We will hopefully have the chance to rent from you again soon!

Very impressed with home.....a great place to stay.

The property at Sag Harbor was just as described on line. The property is well maintained. The house is spotless. I enjoyed the large, modern kitchen, the amount of bedrooms and the comfortable living room with wide screen TV. There was a great office room when you first walked in so you could be near to your computer for work updates. The home is very close to town. The owner left a list of restaurants & gave me a good recommendation for a hair salon in town . A great place to eat is the Corner Bar. I would highly recommend this property to relatives & friends.

This was a great house. We stayed here for a long weekend. The house is an easy drive to town. It was clean and well equipped. The backyard is incredible and a nice place just to relax. I would love to stay here again if we find ourselves up in the Hamptons.

Impressed with outdoor space and entertaining capacity. Guest room bedding should be changed. Gourmet kitchen superb. Could use less baking pans and need a couple of small sauce pots.

Overall.... quite a nice place to spend a few days.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. I'm sorry about the bedding in the guest room, we had a long summer of rentals and I always buy all new one's every fall. I will make sure I replace as right away.

Really nice house, great property and fantastic location.

We rented the house for a week with our two children and had a great stay. The house was kept extremely well and included everything we needed for the week. Property is great, with a large deck, a fire pit and play set that the kids enjoyed. Lots of room for them to run around as well.

The house is located in an ideal spot, just down the road from the shops and restaurants in Sag Harbor, 10-15 minutes (also via the back road) to East Hampton, and about the same to Bridgehampton. We had access ($25 per day parking for non-residents) to Sagg Main beach on the Atantic Ocean side from Tuesday to Friday and to Long Beach just outside of Sag Harbor on the north shore all week.

The owner also provided detailed instructions for the house, which made the stay that much easier.

We very much enjoyed the stay and would recommend the house, and we'll look to go back next year!

Owner's Response: Thank You so much Arthur for your nice review. I am glad you enjoyed the house. Also, thank you for putting the beach access information, I think it is a bit confusing out there and your review will really help future guests. Thanks again, hope to see you again next summer.

Over two hundred years ago, Sag Harbor was a thriving whaling town and bustling seaport, New York’s original entryway. Two centuries later, the historic 18th and 19th century homes of this quaint village, on the South Fork of Long Island, whisper tales of men at sea and Revolutionary times. The whaling and cargo ships that long ago lined the harbor have been replaced by the delicate masts of modern sailboats and private yachts. The narrow village streets are dotted with trendy boutiques, antique shops and restaurants serving some of the area’s finest international cuisine.

Long known as a “writers’ colony,” Sag Harbor has been a haven for celebrated authors such as James Fenimore Cooper, John Steinbeck and E.L. Doctorow. Still today, it provides a charming backdrop for actors and weekenders, novelists and playwrights alike, who as one New York Times writer put it, “would rather work on their latest book-in-progress than their tans.”

In Sag Harbor, you’ll discover the best of both worlds. You’ll find a unique blending of old and new, with historic homes and modern, million-dollar-plus mega mansions each vying for your attention.

This storybook village lies between the villages of East Hampton and Southampton, and is just a short drive to Montauk, the very tip of Long Island. In Sag Harbor, both calm and activity coexist. You’ll feel like you’ve landed in a New England fishing village, but you’re within walking distance of many out-of-the-ordinary shops, great dining and stimulating night life. You’re also just a short drive away from challenging golf courses, East End wineries, and ocean beaches.
