This 3 bedroom/1.5 bathroom boasts beautiful hardwood floors, a remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, and a tranquil full bathroom complete with a claw foot tub.

We originally rented this property but quickly decided to purchase it because of the perfect location and proximity to everything we love in the District. We were pleased that it was on a quiet residential street, but at the same time located only steps from our favorite sights, restaurants, and the convenient Metro system. This was the first house we purchased as a married couple and our kids loved spending their early years here.
This house perfectly combines a warm neighborhood feel with the excitement and energy of the city. The location is simply ideal and offers the best of everything.
The location is perfect! You couldn't get any better. The apartment is nice and clean with everything you need. The only problems are that it can be a little noisy in the morning with the upstairs neighbors and the train. Also having only one full size bathroom was a little difficult with 5 of us, but it was worth it to have such a great location. It's close to the Mall, the metro, the Natuinals and many restaurants. Also the owners were very helpful and ready to help with any problems, but we didn't need them because everything went very smoothly! We would love to stay here again!
My family and I had a wonderful stay in mid June. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to restaurants and all the National Mall has to offer. Taxis were easily accessible if you didn't want to walk or didn't rent a car. The house was very clean and comfortable. Meaghan was very easy to work with and very prompt in responding to any of our questions. We hope to stay here on our next trip to D.C. One thing I would suggest is another chair in the living room.
This property is in a fantastic location, literally a short walk to the Capitol. It is well maintained, impeccably clean, very nice decor and comfortably sized rooms. It has a main floor that is entry level and a ''basement''' level with 2 bedrooms, large bath and open area that could hold an air mattress if an extra sleeping bed was required. Overall, a very nice property, located close to the Metro. Things to note:
1. This is a downstairs unit. There is a separate upstairs unit that shares the same entrance. Being an older building, if the upstairs unit is occupied, you will hear every footstep of people moving around upstairs. We had 2 separate tenants occupy the space upstairs during our stay and both were equally ''loud'' with footsteps so it is likely a result of the building structure.
2. This unit is steps away from a railway that runs large commuter trains during the workweek.
3. This has off street parking which was easy to secure on the weekend. We did not have a need to move our car the entire stay.
4. Very well supplied with towels, household products, etc.
The house was perfect for our family while we vacationed in D.C., It was very comfortable and perfectly clean. It was close to some very good restaurants (our favorites were the Tortilla Coast and We the Pizza for delivery) We found the Metro easy to use for getting around DC and we used uber to get to Mount Vernon for a day (it cost a little more than $40 one way). We took the metro to the airport at the end of our stay. We would love to go back again!
We had a fabulous stay at this property! The location was perfect! Right at the top of Capitol Hill, 1 block to the US Capitol. Very safe. Very clean. All of the extras you need with a home away from home: laundry detergent, games, umbrella, ironing board, comfy bed and couch, etc. The owners were incredibly helpful and prompt when we had questions for dinner suggestions and thoughts on how to get to the Nationals Baseball game. Which was an easy direct walk from the property. Another huge bonus for us! We never had to get a taxi. Although the circulator was quite helpful getting back to the home when we were at the other end of the Mall. We LOVED our stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in DC. Thank you for opening your home to us!
This was our first experience with HomeAway and we will certainly return. This was an awesome location and the home was beautiful. All the amentities of home and then some!
