Comfortable well equipped property in a great part of France
We had a great time in Collioure. Lots to do in the area particularly if you’re prepared to drive further afield. White water rafting and snorkelling at an underwater nature reserve being a couple of the highlights. Lots of nice restaurants in Collioure catering to a range of budgets but the cheaper ones were still very good. The town is about 15 mins walk from the property. We were there during the festival of St Vincent, a four day celebration. The town gets even busier during this time but it’s great fun with bands, dancing and the best firework display I’ve ever seen! The property itself was great. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and quiet - it’s good to be away from the hustle and bustle of the town... We slept like babes after our busy days and nights! The time we spent at the house was mostly in and around the pool which was nearly always quiet despite it being shared by a few properties. We had a great holiday in the Collioure area which was enhanced by a great house, we would thoroughly recommend both.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We are pleased you managed to make the most of the wonderful Mediterranean Sea in summer and the watersports and activities on offer. There is canyoning and paddleboarding and sailing to be had locally too - plenty for a return visit! Hope to host you again, D.
A good holiday spot
We have had a lovely time in this lovely property. The house was very clean and the owner very helpful.
I would recommend this property, no problem.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa 4 and found everything you needed for a relaxing stay!
Excellent villa in great location
The villa was perfect for our needs and having the large terrace beside the pool was a bonus. The reserved parking spot is no small thing in Collioure. There is a very pleasant walk into Collioure and ready access to the highway makes it a great base to travel inland or along the coast. Collioure offers a wide range restaurants and walking opportunities( the walk up to the hilltop fort is a joy). It was a pleasure to deal with the owners and I would certainly recommend a stay in the villa.
Many thanks for your positive review and for being great guests. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Collioure and made use of easy walking access into town and to explore the beautiful hills, vineyards and Fort St. Elne surrounding Villa Four. The views are incredible and I often enjoy an early morning/late evening run up there! Great to hear you headed out in the car too; it is so easy to drive in the region opening up a wealth of possibilities for longer stays or day trips throughout the seasons. I can fit in a morning skiing, afternoon in the thermal spa then return to dinner beside the sea in early April! I do hope you return to explore some more in the future; Collioure will always be waiting.
I want to go back!
Perfectly positioned to explore the amazing Cote Vermeille the villa has everything you need and is within a short walk to Collioure itself. Perfect aspect to enjoy the sun in the morning with breakfast on the balcony and then later on with apero on the terrace. Collioure itself is stunning but there are also many surrounding spots to discover - the quiet bays of Paulilles and lunch at the impressive fish market at Port Vendres will live long in the memory. We will definitely be returning - one week is not enough!
Thanks for the delightful review; we're so glad you managed to get out and about to see what the Pyrenees-Orientales region has to offer. Sardanes dancing in Banyuls, snorkelling in the Marine Reserve and even heading into the mountains to ski, spa and hike on day trips - all this is accessible from our sunny corner of the Med. Please come along again soon - we would be delighted to have you!
We spent a very happy week at the villa which was perfect for our needs, beautifully furnished, well equipped and ideally situated for a walk into town or up into the hills.
We're so pleased you found everything you needed and enjoyed September walks through the vineyards and into the hills beyond - one of our favourite pastimes; the views are spectacular! Hope to see you again soon!
Idéal pour passer de bonnes vacances en famille.
Toute les pièces sont climatisées.
Merci pour votre avis. Je suis heureux que vous avez apprécié votre séjour dans notre belle Août coin de France et je suis heureux que l'air conditionné était utile!
Villa Four is situated in a quiet valley, 10-15 minutes' walk via footpath from the centre of Collioure. It has free WiFi and private pool shared with just 6 other villas. The terraces have lovely views of the sea, mountains, vineyards and nearby 9th Century fort.
Collioure itself, is renowned for its beauty which has attracted many famous artists to its shores, notably, the Fauvist artists at the beginning of the 20th Century. Collioure today boasts many artist's galleries in the colourful old town and holds a diverse range of cultural activities throughout the year. There are several beautiful beaches and many rocky coves to be discovered, as well as the main sandy beach overlooked by the famous Collioure belltower. There are a variety of activities to keep you entertained, ranging from walking, biking, boating, horse-riding, scuba diving and snorkelling to wine tours, visits to the famous anchovy factory, military forts and windmill olive press. Collioure has much to offer!
