The accommodation was very spacious and was an ideal place for us explore Edinburgh and Peebles. We used the Straiton Park and Ride bus 47 for getting into Edinburgh which was only £1.70 each way and removed the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park in the City.
The owner who lives in the adjoining property was so helpful and had left a lovely basket of food for our arrival and some other essentials in the fridge. If your are staying at Pine Lodge, although a car is almost essential you could still do so with the use of the x62 bus out of Edinburgh, which stops less than 100m from the cottage.
We loved watching the Finches constantly using the bird feeders stategically positioned outside three of the windows.
Although out in the middle of the countryside we still got a decent signal on our O2 mobile phones and the Wifi was okay, although a little slower than we are used to.
All of the amenities are very modern, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, TV with surround sound etc.
We would most certainly book another stay at Pine Lodge in the future.
We had a great stay. Great location in Peebles and 20 miles south of Edinburgh. Beautiful home. Nice gift basket to welcome you and David Paul very gracious host.
We had a great time!
This is such a lovely place. It’s a lot bigger than we thought. We felt at home straight away. David was very friendly and the area was beautiful!
Great stay and David the owner as very welcoming. Have stayed here on several occasions.
Property is ideal and very clean and home from home with little welcoming basket full of goodies. Great stay and comfy bed just what you need after long working days. Perfect location for Peebles and surrounding area. 10/10
beautiful place time very well spent
Peebles weekend. Glentress7.
Lovely comfortable property for 3 nights. We had friends staying some of the time. This place takes 4 adults easily.
Great facilities for bikes and muddy kit also.
