Beautiful beachfront home with gorgeous views from every room. King bed and bath suite upstairs with separate sitting room; 2nd bedroom & bathroom downstairs with 2 twin beds that can convert to one king as needed. Stunning 180 degree views from all living areas. Easy beach access from the front lawn; Located in a tranquil beachfront community that feels like it's 'away from it all' while being only 20 minutes from both downtown Gig Harbor in one direction, and downtown Port Orchard in the other. Plus, being just 6 miles from the Southworth Ferry, all kinds of additional activities and hotspots are within easy once you catch sight of this home's amazing views, you may just want to kick back, put your feet up, and savor the flavor of waterfront living!
Our family moved to Gig Harbor in 2005, and we love being near the water. The Seaside Sanctuary is our Olalla Oasis that we love to visit and to share with others who can appreciate its peaceful charm.
Elizabeth purchased this house in 2012
We think you'll find, as we have, that the Seaside Sanctuary offers the best of all worlds: Being right on the water with breathtaking views in a quiet beachside community makes this spot the perfect get-away-from-it-all setting for simply relaxing or walking on the beach. Or, you can tour the winery just down the road, hike in the nearby Banner Forest, or go for a horseback or ATV ride at the local stable. And all the while, you're just 20 minutes from downtown Gig Harbor with its many charming restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, and fun things to do!
Coming home to the Seaside Sanctuary is a rare treat. Coupled with the amazing waterfront views and 'Cape Cod' look of the home from the outside are the beautiful blue-and-whites, grays, greens, and sandy hues of the seaside-inspired decor on the inside. It's calm, clean, Coastal Living at its best!
This wonderful oasis was a haven for us. Every corner I turned there was something wonderful to enjoy from the décor, surroundings, to every thoughtful touch. We LOVED IT! Thank you!
We spent 10 days at the "Sanctuary" and found it to be a lovely experience.
The house was so clean and well set up and all the amenities were at our fingertips.
It's very private home once you travel down a shared driveway.
The views from every room were remarkable and the high tide comes right up to the
wall surrounding the lawn. At high tide it feels like you're on a cruise.
We look forward to returning to this Olalla Oasis.
This was the second summer we stayed and we again thrilled with our stay. The view, environment, wildlife, water, sunrises, high and low tides are unforgettable. The house is cozy, neat, fully stocked and supplied, and every inch of it is comfortable and functional. It is great rural, waterfront living and peaceful and quiet. We had everything we needed and loved and enjoyed Elizabeth and her super responsiveness and care to our every need. Wonderful place to live and chill. We'll be back!!
We loved our stay and we are coming back. The house is comfortable and fully supplied, with a great view and lots of wildlife and tides to watch. We enjoyed our mornings, daytime, sunsets and peace and quiet. The beach is fun to walk, and if you kayak or canoe, it seems like it would be fun. The Landlord responded to our every need and was a joy to work with and know. It is rural and neighborly, with lots of privacy. Everything you need is 20 minutes away. We highly recommend it!
The house was exactly as shown in the photos, and the owner was very nice, responsive, and accommodating. The beach unveiled at low tide makes for lovely walks along its pebbled sand, with lots of sea urchins, barnacles, and muscles everywhere you look - a feast for the sea birds all day long as they followed the tide out. When the tide comes in, the water comes right up to the property's sea/retaining wall and (with a little imagination) creates the illusion that you're on a houseboat. It was quiet and peaceful, and being 20+ minutes to town made it feel very remote. This is a great house to get away from it all.
However, I can not recommend it to anyone who suffers from bad indoor air allergies. We had to cut our vacation short (at our own expense) because my indoor allergies were terrible when we had to close the windows at night, causing an ongoing sinus issue to flare up.
We loved our stay and the personal touches made a pleasant experience. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the wildlife. We look forward to the next time we can visit this lovely home.
We highly recommend this beautiful, light and airy beach house. The gentle breeze off the water was so welcome and lovely, coming from the 100-degree Texas weather as we did! This house and its setting is so beautiful -- seeing the tide going in and out, the warm sun, windows open, geese flying or swimming by -- all SOoooo relaxing! And you've done a beautiful job of making this such a lovely, relaxing get-away. Thank you so much -- everything here is well-appointed and cared for. We will definitely be back again!
