Cute, roomy 2 bedroom/1 bath clean cottage located on 100' of Green Lake frontage. The living room/kitchen/dining room has windows overlooking the lake, with a comfortable couch. One of the bedroom has a queen size bed that enters a screen porch with a view of the lake. The second bedroom is used as a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds.
Outside is a short walk to the water and dock with a fire pit next to the water for bonfires. It is within an ear shot of the concerts at Interlochen Center of the Arts.
Green Lake is a beautiful lake with clear water and sand bottom. The lake is not heavily used which is another real benefit. The fishing is great. Located on the lake is the Interlochen Center of the Arts as well as a state park.
It's a very quiet relaxing area but close to Traverse City for those interested in shopping or dining out. There are also numerous restaurants in the area including Karlin Inn, the Hofbrau, and Bud's.
I love coming to green lake. I have been doing so for over 20 yrs. This cottage is a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Debbie is very helpful and flexible. I hope that if the cottage sells that the next owners will still rent it out. I will definitely be back. Hopefully next year. This is the second year in a row we have rented this cottage from Debbie. Thanks for everything. Green lake is a great place and it is making memories for my family for hopefully years to come.
This is the perfect little cottage on the lake. Views of the lake are spectacular from almost every room. The covered porch is a bonus feature, perfect for rainy days or when the mosquitos come out! If you are looking for a cute cottage on the water...this is it! Our family(including our dog) enjoyed the lake, dock, kayaks, fire pit, and just being up north. The dock is a little rickety...but we still used it! Lake water is clear & shallow. Property owner was a pleasure to deal with. They keep the cottage clean & stocked with basic amenities. The property is for sale- but if it's available next summer....I(we)will definitely be back! Perfect little cottage up north...and I(we) enjoyed every minute of our stay!
I grew up on Green Lake so I already knew what a wonderful lake it is but
this cottage is so adorable. It is not frilly or over the top but it is homey
and great for lake living. It is always clean and the owners are wonderful
to communicate with. The neighbors are quiet and almost none existent
which is a plus! We love Interlochen Music Camp so the location on the
lake is perfect for us and is also close for day trips up to Glen Arbor ( Sleeping
Bear Dunes, Cherry Republic and Lake Michigan) or spend the day in
Traverse City shopping and dining. The only negative and I even hesitate
to mention it but I feel like in this day and age of technology it should be
mentioned that there is no Internet or Wifi available and at times that
can be frustrating. Having to drive to get service was not the greatest
but for those wanting an "unplugged" vacation...you are all set. We have
rented for 2 summers so you can see this didn't deter us from coming back!!!!
We love this place!! It is for sale and oh how we wish we could buy it!!
If it doesn't sell....we will be back again next summer!!
p.s. Having the 2 Kayaks available was a big plus too!! We used them everyday!!!
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The lake access with beautiful views, grill, screened porch and well-outfitted kitchen all made it very comfortable. I recommend buying drinking water if you don't like the taste of well water. The bedroom windows could use screens but there are fans to keep the air circulating. Owner is nearby and was quickly responsive in addressing our questions/needs during our stay.
A very solid stay. Less property than I imagined, but better overall experience than I imagined.
The cottage was the right size for our needs and was nicely furnished with everything we needed-cleaning supplies, paper goods, linens, etc. The screened in porch was a bonus since we came with 3 large dogs and their crates-it was perfect for them. The location was close to town and the fairgrounds and convenient for shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the lake a lot, the neighborhood is quiet but still residential, the kayaks were fun and the sunsets and full moon over the lake were another bonus. Would go back again.
Only suggestion-could use some screens in the bedroom with the bunk beds and the bathroom although there were plenty of fans and an AC unit in the living room so it wasn't really a big deal.
