Great Single Story Cottage On Bend's Popular West Side
About Erin Woods
HI----my name is Lisa and I have been a Bendite for over 40 years, and am very proud to have watched her grow from a very small town to a very small city. Always unique. I live on a 20 acre ranch and grow hay, raise chickens, and garden-up wonderful vegetables. I run my cottages like I run my life. Great attention to detail and personal attention to my guests----I believe every Bend vacation at the cottages should be a great one, if I do my job right. If you call you'll actually talk to me! Looking forward to it----
Erin Woods purchased this Cottage in 2002
Why Erin Woods chose River West
We love the location of this property, close to all the wonderful west side attractions. It makes it a perfect land place for our guests to truly discover Bend.
What makes this Cottage unique
My favorite feature of this house is the beautiful backyard. It is your own private little oasis in the city with ample space that is fully fenced with a gazebo, sitting areas, gas BBQ, deck with outdoor dining table, and of course the private hot tub. The green grass, beautiful old growth trees, and lovely gardens provide the perfect area to relax.

Great experience and place close to all activities!
Awesome home with all amenities!
Thanks for that great review----sometimes a few words paint a GOOD colorful picture! We appreciate you taking the time to write --- thanks again.
Very clean and close to town!
We loved the hot tub and the fresh remodel . It’s also very close to town ! 10/10 would recommend !
Thank you so much --- Its always nice to hear that our efforts to provide a comfortable, clean, well-located home are appreciated! Our housekeeping crew is very dedicated and Im proud to say we believe in offering a living wage to reward that special effort. Our small company runs on our committed staff that goes the extra mile whenever we can. Thanks again for recognizing that effort!
Good times to be had by all!
We had an amazing time. The house is in a great location! We could go a mile in any direction and find something fun to do. The back yard it nice for letting your doggie run around and the hot tub was a nice way to end the day.
Thank you Melanie and Co--- What a nice way to start the New Year, with a delightful review and happy guests! I hope 2019 is full of good health, happiness, and adventures...and that Bend (once again) figures into that adventure thing! Thanks again--
We had a great time. Great location and perfect amount of room for my daughters and I. The fence yard was a plus and adorable! Would like to stay there again after the construction is finished.
I am so glad you and the girls had a great time at The Sunrise Cottage, and we agree...her backyard is adorable!
Im really sorry the road construction seems to have cost us a review star. (Unfortunately we had no control over that) Luckily, it was all over the news tonight in fact, the year-long 14th Street construction project has officially re-opened as of TODAY --- you guys just missed it!! To drive down it now you can see the job really paid off for all of us that have been inconvenienced over time. Beautiful smooth road with new (safe) bike lanes and nice wide sidewalks now, to all the great dining, breweries, food trucks, and ski shops. The project has surely enhanced the West Side experience for us all! So please...do come stay again...nice and quiet once more. The Sunrise adorable backyard awaits your return!
Epic Bend experience
Our favorite spot in Bend ...we’ll be back.
Thanks Lisa !
Thanks so much Jon--
I always enjoy short and sweet reviews----feels like family! I know that you guys have discovered all Bend's special Westside treasures over the years --- just love that you take full advantage of that great location. We so appreciate our good repeats too---thanks for making us your home away from home!
Our stay went very well with everything we needed at our disposal!
Open and spacious, convenient to everything. Thanks for help making it a great vacation!
I'm delighted that you enjoyed the newly renovated cottage and it's central location to all the "FUN WESTSIDE STUFF". Really hope you discovered the food-cart-court just 3 blocks away (always a favorite of mine) and the wonderful eggs benedict across the street at The Victorian café too.
Hoping that Bend will call you back soon!
The Galveston Avenue District is the new hot spot in Bend. Located just one block back from the Deschutes River, this shopping and dining corridor marks the most recently revitalized area of west side Bend. Galveston avenue boasts of everything from breweries (Sunriver Brewing, 10 Barrel Brew Co, and Brother Jon’s are all within one block of one another), breakfast spots, bakeries, fine dining, juice bars, doughnut shops, bike rentals, The Lot food truck court, real New York style pizza joint, and even Hawaiian shaved ice all right there within four blocks.
Right close is Drake Park along the Deschutes River, a must see when visiting Bend. This popular downtown community gathering place hosts many events throughout the spring, summer and fall, including the District’s Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration. The park features nearly a half mile of riverfront, 13 acres of open lawn, an outdoor stage, restrooms and small picnic tables. Drake Park is home to Great Horned Owls who are actively nesting with their owlets in the spring season, so bring your binoculars! This section of the river is also the put out place for the Deschutes River Float. During the summer months, a shuttle runs from this location to The Old Mill District so you can bring your inner tubes, float all the way down the river from there, right back to this location, then walk back to your vacation home!
