Cute, clean and cozy.

  • 4 of 5

This place is cute and clean! The kitchen was fully stocked, lacks nothing. Bedrooms are roomy, beds are comfy. One bathroom really wasn't a big deal, despite there being six of us. More towels would be a plus!

We did stay in August, it was hot hot hot. The unit does not have air conditioning (many don't, we know). Leaving all windows open 24/7 is a must, as is learning to tolerate the noise from Mission Blvd. It was incredibly loud. A lot of street racing, motorcycles, etc. all throughout the night. But we survived the noise and heat! :)

The owners are great! Easy to deal with and responded promptly.

The outdoor space was nice, we ate nearly every meal for a week on the patio. It is completely fenced in which provides plenty of privacy. A few hooks outside on the patio to hang wet towels and suits would be nice.

good family home

  • 4 of 5

This is a very nice place to stay with perfect location on the quieter end of Mission, in between the bay and the surfing. The fridge takes a while to cool down and there is no air conditioning so it is pretty warm during the day inside the house. However it does cool down a bit at night. The furniture is very nice and the beds are so very comfortable. There is only one bathroom which can be tough sometimes. Another good thing is there is a washer and dryer in the garage and two parking spots. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fun Surf Retreat for the entire family and more.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time here in early July, 2016. The living room has a new sofa (different than the one in the photo). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. We were a bit concerned with the one bathroom situation (we had two couples and three teenage girls), but it all worked out pretty well. Overall, it was a great vacation and the unit was very comfortable for us all. Here are a few items we thought would be helpful when you look into booking a place.....The King Bedroom has a smaller window and seemed pretty dark throughout the day. Not much dresser-drawer space in that room. The other two rooms had nice big dressers which helped keep everything organized and they were bright and well lit. The garage is very small (we had two large SUVs). We had to park outside of the garage and move one of the vehicles any time we wanted to open the garage door. We found it easier to park along the street and use the garage for bike storage and laundry. The unit is right on the corner of busy Mission Blvd near the south end of the peninsula. It's a bit noisy with the airplanes and traffic, but that is anywhere in this area. Several great restaurants nearby within a short walk or bike ride away. We avoided getting into our cars unless we needed to. The beaches and or bay are just a short walk away. We brought some of our own bikes but the girls used the units bikes which were in good condition. The boogie boards could probably be replaced as they were wobbly and cracked. There were not a lot of bath or beach towels, so you might want to bring a few extra. The patio was great for sitting, visiting and parking bikes during the day. We hope this review was helpful. It's a cute place, nothing fancy but clean and neat and well stocked in the kitchen.

Relaxing Beach Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Could not have been happier with this condo in San Diego! We started out our vacation at Disneyland & this is exactly what we needed after! Since it's on the opposite side of the boardwalk, it's quiet, calm & relaxing, but just a short walk to all the fun! Short walk to the beach, bay & where the two connect & a great view of Sea World's fireworks! This place DOES NOT disappoint & we couldn't be happier with our choice!

We just returned home from the surf retreat about 3 hours ago. We celebrated my husbands "50th Birthday" at the beach with our adult kids and one granddaughter (3 yrs) this house was really great we Loved the location and the space, even joked with the kids that it was larger than our first home back when Dad & I got married... Lol having one bathroom was not an issue, we made it work just fine. My son & son-in-law took my husband deep sea fishing & I went with the girls to the "Bernardo Winery" in Escondido (would highly recommend). Some negatives that our family thought were worth mentioning were the lighting in the bathroom was poor, the ceiling fans in each bedroom have one speed "LOW" and the traffic and airplane noise is certainly noticeable (but I would think where ever you are in mission your going to hear that)... All and all it was a FANTASTIC VACATION and we would stay here again.

Summer Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful time. Tara was very accommodating working with us on the dates we wanted to stay due to the July 4th Holiday. The Beach house was perfect! The house had everything and more than we expected! Bikes, beach chairs, full kitchen with every utensil needed, beach towels, BBQ and much more! We loved having the beach and the bay within steps! everything about this place was great and we would be happy to return.
