This top floor unit has been recently completely remodeled in a warm, island theme and has a delightful, shaded ocean view overlooking Honl's Beach Park from the lanai.

It is fully equipped with everything you need for a stay of a few days to a month or more, with a washer and dryer, full kitchen with full-sized range, oven, refrigerator (with an ice maker), microwave, dishwasher, and all the small appliances you would expect. There are TVs in both the living room and bedroom, there is free Wi-Fi for high speed Internet, and free calling to the US mainland and Canada. The bedroom has a comfortable pillow top King Bed.

The Kona Reef is one of the most popular places to stay in Kona, as it’s right on the south edge of town within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, the farmers market and more. You can pay a lot more and not have the convenient location or the amenities that make the Kona Reef a special place. The ocean front pool and spa are very inviting, and the BBQ area is a great place to prepare a dinner and watch the sunset.

You can reserve on line, and get instant confirmation. We have multiple units, so if one is full for the dates you want, one of our others is probably available. We have several ocean view units, four of the ocean front 2-bedroom units, and 12 ocean view units as well.

Nice place, close to town

We had a nice stay at Kona Reef, decent value for the price. Past reviews are pretty accurate, updates to the bathroom and some other areas would help. Can't add a lot more.

Our biggest complaint has more to do with the people managing the unit. A young couple from Europe entered our unit late evening with the key from the outside lock box. Either they miss understood the unit number or were given the wrong unit number. (I believe they should have gone to C-32, not B-32). It seems like the lock boxes this management controls, for late arrivals, might all have the same code. This practice should be changed right away!

Great area but noisy

This condo was located in a great area. Very close and walking distance to shops and restaurants. If you don't mind street noise you will like this location. Being a light sleeper I had to close every window in order to keep out the traffic noise. Condo was in decent shape, could stand a remodel. The pool area was great and we saw turtles down on the rocky beach. The beach you can see from the condo is very small and not suitable for beginner boogie boarders like us. We ended up going way up north to better beaches. Next time we will probably stay up north farther, The one complaint would be that the condo was the least stocked condo as far as staples that I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in a lot. There were only salt and pepper for spices, and absolutely nothing in the way of condiments, foil, paper towels, bags, and only 2 rolls of TP, etc. Usually we find that people leave behind things and the owners leave some things but not in this case. There were two very sad beach chairs which we ended up not using and a Styrofoam cooler, also did not use that. There were a couple of ratty old snorkels and masks, also did not use those. We ended up purchasing boogie boards for the week. Never had to do that before. I would say it was adequate but not wow.

Nice, but noisy

We are a family of 4 with two children. We stayed for a week during the xmas holidays. Complex is in a great location, close to town center with all shops, restaurants and the local market. We used the BBQ and pool area for a grill dinner one night. It was really nice to be able to make our own food. Comfortable condo with all basic needs provided. The condo is a bit worn and could use some updates, especially in the bathroom. Also, the location of the condo is close to the road, so it is rather noisy to get an uninterrupted night's sleep. The balcony's view is a side ocean view facing south, not front ocean view as one of the photos may suggest. Still nice though.

The room was fine. Could use a new air conditioner in the living room and a smaller unit could be installed in the bedroom.

The matress on the hide a bed could also use an upgrade

Unit in amazing location in need of some major TLC

We loved the location of the unit (have stayed in this complex before ) and the owners had excellent response! I would love to give it a great review but I just can't. The unit is in need of renewal. New appliances , fixtures and carpet, not to mention a major deep clean on the grout ( black in most places, beige in very few). We were there with another couple and tried to spend whatever time we were there in their unit. Again, this is in an awesome location just a couple blocks south of town and the pool area is nicely kept. I would love to stay here again if a rather large renovation was done!
