Polly is a Regional EHS manager at ADT and Sue is an attorney. We are both adjunct professors in the College of Professional Studies at Villanova University in Villanova, PA. Polly also teaches at Drexel University where she is pursuing a doctorate in Information Studies. In addition to the Victoria Inn, we own and operate our Wellington Oasis (VRBO Listing #995401), a spectacular home in the heart of Wellington (Palm Beach County, Florida) - the Winter Equestrian Capital of the World. Fortunately, Polly is quite handy and enjoys making improvements to the Inn. Sue is constantly painting and redecorating, so returning guests always find something new! We are both avid antique collectors. Most weekends, time permitting, we are at estate sales, garage sales, or antique stores. It’s one of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon. We’ve had so much fun renovating, furnishing and decorating our house. A recent guest told us she could “feel the love in every room”. If you are looking for a true home away from home, this is your vacation home!
Susan purchased this House in 2004
Why Susan chose Ocean City
WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! We love the history, architecture and charm of old homes. Our phenomenal house was built in 1915 and we've spent the past 15+ years renovating the Victoria Inn, making it an idyllic vacation retreat. We love old homes and the family-friendly atmosphere of Ocean City - a fun, safe place to vacation. OC has won many awards and was recently named the greatest family vacation resort by Travel magazine. It's comforting to allow the children to explore the town without worrying about bars on every corner as found in many other south jersey beach towns. We are located 1 block to the beach and 2.5 mile boardwalk. Every block of our fabulous beach is guarded, & the 7th Street beach is a guarded beach only for surfing. With so much to do, you can walk anywhere and avoid paying for parking! The boardwalk has 2 great amusement piers, a water park, several mini-golf courses, music pier, arcades, surf shops, a movie theater, dozens of stores, and every kind of 'fun food' imaginable: ice cream, pizza, salt water taffy, caramel corn, water ice, candy, fudge, French fries, seafood, smoothies, cotton candy, and more. We are just a couple of blocks to the 100+ shops and many restaurants on Asbury Avenue, a great shopping venue for a girls' weekend or a break from the sun! Less than a block from our home you will find 12 tennis courts, a track, football field, shuffleboard courts, basketball court, & beach volleyball. You can rent bicycles for a morning ride on the boardwalk. Just a few blocks away is the bay where you can rent jet skis, go deep sea fishing, crabbing, enjoy a whale & dolphin watching cruise, go parasailing, or enjoy a delicious meal. New in 2016 is a state of the art skate park just a few blocks away (full pads req'd). If you want to relax, our wrap-around deck is a terrific spot to savor your morning coffee, read a book, play a game, people watch, or enjoy cocktails. The courtyard is ideal for celebrations with seating for 40.
What makes this House unique
The Victoria Inn is a truly unique setting for fantastic summer vacations, intimate weddings, fabulous birthday parties, memorable anniversaries, festive holiday celebrations, & fun-filled family reunions. Polly and I especially enjoy hosting weddings, & we will gladly assist you in planning the perfect event! Our lovely, partially enclosed courtyard, reminiscent of a French Cafe, has seating for 40 at fabulous wrought iron tables & chairs with many potted, hanging & climbing flowers, & hundreds of tiny white lights. Expanded in 2016, the courtyard now features stunning pavers and a raised garden, making it a spectacular setting for celebrations! All guests absolutely love the new courtyard! It truly is perfect for all types of celebrations. With accommodations for up to 40, the Victoria Inn provides a reasonably priced retreat venue. Meeting space is available on site, or for large groups just a few blocks away. We will gladly assist with reservations. In addition to celebrations, guests have gathered for Creative Memories Scrap-booking, Mah-Jong weekends, yoga, spiritual, & youth retreats. Ocean City also hosts many special events including the M.S. Bike-a-thon, ALS walk, antique car show, Spring & Fall Block Parties, craft shows, art shows, Easter Egg Hunt with 100,000 eggs, Decorated Hat Parade, Halloween Festivities, Trick-or-Treating, Hayrides on the boardwalk, Music Festivals, Breakfast with Santa & Free Horse & Carriage Rides! Just steps from our house are all of the fabulous First Night (New Year's) Activities with fireworks, rides, musicians, shows & magicians. Conveniently located, 20 minutes to Atlantic City’s casinos & terrific shopping outlets; 30 minutes to historic Cape May with its famous zoo, many antique stores, dozens of shops, Victorian homes & fantastic restaurants, 1 hour to Philadelphia, & 2.5 hours to NY City.

Great location and neighborhood
Excellent for multiple families. Privacy from other family members if desired. The owners are extremely nice people.
Thanks, Sal. It was great meeting you and your family - we hope to see you next year!
What a wonderful Ocean City vacation.
The Pink Victorian suited our needs well. We were extended family of 36, with lots of toddlers and one newborn. Even though we were in 3 units, we didn't feel apart. We gathered in the living room of the main house frequently. We loved the huge front porch for morning coffee and the courtyard for evening meals. We loved the beach location at the far end of the boardwalk...a little quieter but so close to all the action! Daily walks to the beach were a perfect way to anticipate the rolling Atlantic. Polly and Sue were delightful as was Sue's green thumb, evidenced all around the property. Just lovely!
Thank you, Cheryl! We are very glad you enjoyed our beautiful home, the beach, and my flowers! It was nice to see your family enjoying time together on the wrap around deck each morning. We hope to see you all again.
We stayed at the Victoria Inn for a week in July and it was amazing. We had a family reunion, 36 of us ages 8 weeks to 88 years old, and everything was perfect. The location is close to the boardwalk and beach. The Inn is perfect for large groups. We utilized the courtyard every evening for dinner and there was plenty of room for all of us. The main house and condos were clean and roomy. The beach and boardwalk were so clean. We were worried about the "dry town" status, but it actually was great as you are still able to drink at home but don't have to worry about people overindulging on the beach or boardwalk. We found out at the end of the vacation that liquor stores will actually deliver if needed!! We went jet skiing and para-sailing. We had a wonderful birthday luncheon at the Tuckahoe Inn in Marmosa, the staff there could not have been nicer!! Lastly, the owners at the Victorian were wonderful!! So friendly and helpful. They live on site, you would never know they are there until they are watering the BEAUTIFUL flowers all over the property! We are definitely going back!!
Thank you, Gail. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay, our home, beautiful town, the water activities, and my pretty flowers : )
We hope to see you and your family soon!
Great House and Location for People of All Ages!
I can not say enough positive things about our experience staying at the Victoria Inn! Our family was trying to plan a family reunion but was not having any luck finding a house big enough for 36 people that was within a reasonable driving distance. When I came across the Victoria Inn it seemed perfect. From my first interaction with Sue, she was nothing but helpful in addressing any of our questions and concerns, often replying to my emails within the hour. Once we arrived, the house and adjoining condos were just as beautiful as pictured on the website. The courtyard in the back was the perfect location for our family meals or to just hang out during downtime. The house and condos were very clean and well maintained. Both condos appeared to have been recently updated, and while the main house is definitely older with its Victorian charm, the kitchen and all bathrooms have been updated with modern amenities. The house and condos were all equipped with everything we needed regarding pots and pans, utensils, coffee makers, a high chair, etc. If we didn't see something we were looking for we just asked Sue or Polly and were directed to where we could find it. The supermarket is close which was very convenient since we all took turns preparing dinner every night for the group. Despite it being a warm and sunny week while we were there (we were very lucky with the weather), we were always comfortable as the entire property was air conditioned. The house is just a quick walk from the boardwalk and beach where there is so much to do with the kids who ranged from ages 9 months to 11 years old. Our 2 year old daughter had the best time at the Wonderland Amusement Park! The older kids enjoyed mini golf and the arcades, and some members of our group booked surf lessons on the beach one day. Atlantic City is also a quick drive and very easy to get to as well. Again, there was so much for everyone of all ages to do and you never heard anyone say they were bored! Everyone in our group was very pleased with the whole experience and have agreed that we would love to try to stay at the Victoria Inn again in the future. I would definitely recommend this location for your next family trip!
Thank you, Sue and Polly, for an incredible week!
Thank you, Marisa. We are so glad you and your family had a wonderful reunion at the Victoria Inn. We are so fortunate to have the space to host large family reunions and special events. It was great to see you enjoy the courtyard every day. We hope to see you and your family again!
Weekend Retreat for 40 adults
What a wonderful enchanting weekend. Our church adult fellowship had 36 people stay over the weekend and had 40 for dinner. We saw a sign about the rental in the fall, and went to the website and knew that this was a place for our group. We made arrangements to come and view the Victorian and met with the owners, Susan and Polly who were very gracious and answered all our questions and put to rest any concerns that we had, like seating everyone for dinner. They gave us suggestions that other renters used which were very helpful.
We rented the Main house and both the Condos for our group and had no problem with meeting everyone's needs. In the Main House you take a small step back in time to a more reserved era, yet you have all the modern amenities we gave grown accustomed to.
Everything that we could have possibly needed was available in all the units. The property was clean and well maintained, just as the website showed.
Our group would highly recommend this property for anyone who would like to get away either for a long weekend or vacation.
This is a fantastic place!
We used all three units of The Victoria Inn for a cousin reunion. Cousins gathered from Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Indiana and Pennsylvania. The October weather was perfect and we ate outside in the courtyard. It was such a special time together and the location couldn't have been better!
Thank you, Priscilla! We are very glad you enjoyed your cousin reunion, our beautiful home, and the lovely courtyard. We hope to see you for another reunion : )
