Norton family lives in Bucks County Pennsylvania, 50 miles north of Philadelphia.
Ron Norton purchased this house in 2012
Ron is a sailor and was looking for a base camp to outfit and keep and large sailboat for use in the Gulf of Mexico during the winter months. We call the place our Florida base camp. I fell in love with the location and the friendly neighborhood. Fort Myers is a great town to relax and have fun in.
We fell in love with the views of the water, the wildlife, and the friendly neighbors. It is a nice quiet neighborhood with no through roads. It is an ideal place the walk, bike, and enjoy the views. We enjoy the climate during the winter months, with all the sunshine and gentle breezes off the water.
We had such a wonderful week. The house is beautiful. Nicely redone and very spacious and comfortable. Being on the water and having a pool was great for the kids and so peaceful!
We headed over the bridge into Fort Myers and enjoyed dinner and the street fair on Friday night.
A perfect week. I would highly recommend.
My husband and I rented this home for a Christmas Vacation with our 3 sons (ages 11, 8 and 2). My children are still talking about how great the trip was and facetimed their friends every night to show them the pool, or the pier or their rooms. The house was loaded with all the comforts of home from the kitchen to the garage. They had sandwich bags, foil, laundry soap, everything. We fed the birds and turtles every night from our backyard and went alligator searching every morning (didn't see the alligator). The kayak was awesome and again the pool is out of this world. Kids would swim while we cooked dinner and the kitchen overlooks the pool so I could watch them the entire time. Everyone already planning next year's trip. I totally recommend it for families with children. I promise you, you won't hear "I'm bored."
Wonderful home and location! We couldn't have selected a better location for what we wanted to see and do...we couldn't have selected a better place to relax and recharge! Home was very clean with wonderful amenities! We loved the kitchen connecting to the pool area! We visited friends in Fort Myers, attended the Twins spring training, hit Bunchee beach (based on a neighbors suggestion), did an Everglades tour, Sanibel, Pine Island, attended local church with Easter and so much more! We were within 15-30" of all connections for our activities. We loved access to the kayak with the house! My college age daughter and teenage son kayaked with a fun loving dolphin and a quiet alligator in the channel! Channel kayaking was very relaxing-the Mangrove trees with all the birds a quiet sanctuary! Couldn't have asked for a better Florida stay! I would recommend again and if I go back, I would stay here again. Neighbors and locals delightful. Owner very helpful and connected if we needed him!
Sehr schöne Lage des Hauses und nette Nachbarn.
Das Haus ist Top gepflegt und der Aussenbereich ist einfach nur schön gleich am Kanal mit Golf zugang.
Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in N. Fort Myers. Home is very clean and has been updated with a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of room for 5 people! We went to watch college baseball games every day and found the location perfect for all our needs including lots of great places to eat and shop. Only thing I missed was a full length mirror. Would stay there again if returning to the area.
House was newly remodeled and master bed was comfortable. House has some minor issues which could be corrected (adjust kitchen cabinet doors, back screen door to pool, etc.) to make stay even more pleasurable. Neighborhood has several barking dogs. Nonetheless, a pretty good neighborhood to walk in.
