About Owner/Property Manager

I own several vacation home properties here in NOLA, & Austin, TX, and have managed this business for 11 years. I love to take care of people as they partake in the most important thing in life-- vacation!! This includes you business people too! My phone # shows out of state, but I live in NOLA!

Owner/Property Manager purchased this house in 2013

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Central City/Garden District

LOTS of reasons-- beautiful building and courtyard with that old New Orleans feel, excellent location and neighborhood, gated parking, home has huge master suites, adjoining large baths-- gorgeous. I also have several other homes in the Marigny and Bywater close to the FQ. I want to give my customers choices for the area they want!

What makes this house unique

You are right ON Magazine street-has lots of restaurants/coffee shops/antique shops, and 5 minute drive to the French Quarter or Downtown. I own several other buildings if you need another part of town.

A great house at a great price!

  • 5 of 5

It was my second time staying at this fantastic home, and it will remain my top choice for future trips to New Orleans. The house is perfect for large groups, it's very clean, and it has all the amenities you need for a stress free vacation. Check in and check out is easy. This historic house has great character and is just a short Uber ride to the French Quarter. I would highly recommend it to any looking to stay in the Garden District or that wants to be centrally located to the popular areas outside of the Quarter.

Great House in a Great Area

  • 4 of 5

House was very big for our needs, we had 8 people and everyone had a space to sleep. Would have given 5 stars but most of the beds were a bit uncomfortable. 4 real beds, the rest are either fold outs or murphy beds. Place was clean and New Orleans Quirky! Turtle pond out back, neighborhood friendly cats and really great outside area to hang out in the mornings. Possible ghost, we didn't see or hear anything but was fun to think about. There is an AWESOME coffee shop on the corner (Momo's) which was really convenient for us. Lots a bathrooms and space.

Good with reservations

  • 4 of 5

This is a great location, and the house works well for a group. Multiple bathrooms, and separate spaces allow good relations while the common rooms are quite usable. That being said, if you want to cook for your group, the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. No usable knives, no can opener, no bottle opener, no corkscrew, no tongs. The stove is an antique and works poorly, one burner never worked. The patio grill needed to be propped up on bricks and we had to get propane. The fridge is seriously off level.

Many light bulbs were burned out. Joe helped with that, but forethought would have been better. Some beds were ok, some were very uncomfortable.

The decking on the upper gallery was soft in places, which was a concern as it's a long fall from there.

The patio is great, we used it a lot.

Two other things I fixed to get through the week were one of the toilets, and the dishwasher.

In short, we loved the spot and the accommodation for a family, but the owner attention to detail was terrible.

Great location and a lovely home!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this property was perfect. So convenient to the street car, restaurants, antique shopping & it was an inexpensive and quick trip via Uber to the French Quarter/Frenchman's street/River Walk, etc... There were 9 of us staying, so we lost the living room as a hang-out spot, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and loved the privacy each room provided to the group. We would definitely recommend this place to a larger group.

Wonderful time in NOLA. We had everything we needed and more.

The back patio with the pond and turtles were so enjoyable and we loved the cats.

So easy to work with, will definitely stay with Carrie again!

Guys Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This place is great! My buddies and I took a trip down to NOLA to get me prepared for my big day, and this was a fantastic place/location to stay. The place was spotless when we arrived and had the AC ready for guests (it was a hot day in LA). We arrived about 2-3 hours before check in and Guy, the property manager, was very accommodating about letting us drop our things off and also making sure that everything was as expected. Guy is friendly and does a great job of making guests feel at home. The management is out of the way but are accessible if needed... Everything was perfect with the house, the linens, the AC, the kitchen, the back patio, etc. so we didn't really need them for anything but it was nice to know they were there. The back patio/courtyard is awesome! It has a charcoal grill, two tables with umbrellas, a pond with turtles, beautiful plants, etc. I would highly recommend grilling out at least one night (kitchen is stocked with all needed utensiles). There were only six of us so we had plenty of room and could have easily fit twice as many people. The house itself is historical, built in the 1870's, but is up to date with all modern amenities so it is a great way to get some of the historical NOLA vibe without making any compromises. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, which is nice, and this did not prevent us from enjoying ourselves on the back patio at night... You just have to be respectful of the neighbors. We all felt extremely safe in this place and felt like we were in a safe area of town. Obviously, you are in a big city so you still have to be smart, but the house is in the Garden District so you are in a good area. The location is ideal! You are about a 35 minute walk to Bourbon St., but I would recommend checking out the Garden District (Parasol's firecracker shrimp Po'boy is the best sandwich I have ever had and is only a 10 minute walk away) as it is also really cool! I will be staying here again the next time my friends and I hit NOLA. Very nice house in an awesome city!
