About William Miller
Liz and I have been welcoming guests to our Cooperstown vacation retreats for more than a decade. We believe a well maintained and spotlessly clean home is just a small component of a great vacation experience. Too often, consumers experience the result of lack of focus on the part of service providers...telephone calls go to voicemail... emails go unanswered...questions are unanswered and problems go unresolved. Our philosophy; Great Vacation Experiences Begin And End With Great Customer Service. For this reason, we have chosen to limit the number of homes we manage to ensure our ability to provide the best customer service possible. Our goal is to leverage a lifetime of intimate knowledge of the Cooperstown area to enable our guests to experience all that Cooperstown has to offer... we are "locals" providing visitors with inside information to enhance their time in our special region. We are standing by, ready to help you. Call us...908-304-4666 or email us at Bill@CooperstownLuxury.com Safe travels, Liz and Bill

A great compliment to the Treehouse
We rented the Bird's Nest along with the Treehouse. This rental consists of a queen sized bed with a small room to the side with twin beds. We also rented the Treehouse from the same owner, using the Bird's Nest for the extra space and to keep it from being rented to another party. The two properties are connected, and we are so pleased we did this! It gave us extra refrigerator space, even though we did not need to extra sleeping space. We rented both properties to house our family as we honored our parent's 50th wedding anniversary. This property, as the Treehouse, is quality all the way and the owner, Bill, spared no expense! Beside the amazing views and the rustic, yet elegant atmosphere, it is QUIET and very private. You will be so glad you rented this property, you will want to come again! You will not be disappointed.
Cindy, Thank you for the wonderful comments. Liz and I are always happy when our guests are happy! The Birds Nest is our favorite place to stay when we are in town!!
You and your family were great guests and we hope you'll consider a return visit as Preferred Guests:)
All the best, Liz and Bill
Cozy, clean cabin in great location - 5 stars!
We loved our stay here! Everything was very clean and ready for our arrival. The cabin is so cozy and very nicely decorated. It sleeps four people very comfortably. The views from the windows are outstanding. The lake access was so convenient and even though we didn't swim or boat it was lovely just sitting out on the chairs by the lake to relax. It's very close to downtown Cooperstown so our drive to local restaurants took just 10-15 minutes. The owner was so helpful in providing us useful information about things to do in the area so that was an added benefit that we enjoyed. I would highly recommend this cabin apartment and look forward to returning!
Angela, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. Liz and I take every chance we get to stay in The Birds Nest for many of the same reasons you mentioned. BIG isn't always better; The Bird's Nest delivers a lot in a small package... the exposed logs and heated floors add to the atmosphere and sense of security. We look forward to welcoming you back as a member of our Preferred Guest Program!! Thanks for being great guests! Bill and Liz
Lakeside Log cabin living in beautiful Cooperstown
This was our first experience in a log cabin. WOW! We loved having 2 decks to enjoy the surrounding views. Very romantic and cozy. Very quiet. Our son was playing / staying at Dreams Park and this apartment was perfect for us to bring him home for an evening so he could enjoy the lake too. The owner was VERY kind and courteous. Perfect location about 20 min. to dreams park, 10 minutes to the HOF. Nice place!
Drew, welcome to log home living! One of my favorite features of the Birds nest is the exposed log roofing rafters and beams...they create a feeling of security and warmth. I love spending time there during the winter...when the wind and snow are whipping, yet the radiant heat floor provide a toasting environment!!
Great Little Home With a Great View; Owner Pleasure to Work With
I rented the Bird's Nest with the neighboring Treehouse in early April for a big group of friends - 14 of us in total - for a trip to Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and Brewery Ommegang. The two homes (which are essentially connected) together were perfect for our group. The view of Ostego Lake was breathtaking.
We had three people sleep in the Bird's Nest and 11 sleep in this house. I stayed in the neighboring Treehouse, but the members of my group who stayed at the Nest said they really enjoyed it.
This house was clean and well-maintained. Bill, the owner of the house, left great instructions for where to find things in the house, etc. Bill was a pleasure to work with, always quick to respond, and gave great recommendations for transportation, food, and shopping around that area.
Mel's at 22 was great for dinner. Ommegang was a blast - their lunch is great. We also did a tour and tasting. And the HOF is obviously amazing for any baseball fan.
If I'm ever planning to be in Cooperstown again with either a large group or with just my wife, I would definitely rent this house on it's own or in tandem with the neighboring house.
We could not have asked for a better group of guests! Thanks so much for choosing our homes for your stay in Cooperstown. We truly hope you'll consider another stay should you plan a trip back to our upstate New York paradise!!
Very private and clean.....
Close to Cooperstown about 10 minute drive.
nice view of lake and within walking distance. .
Thanks for your kind words and Liz and I are happy you enjoyed your visit!
We look forward to welcoming you back...perhaps during the summer or even the winter when you'll be surprised to see how different our area looks during the seasonal changes!
The Birds Nest was a perfect choice for our extended weekend visit to the Baseball Hall Of Fame. It was a surprise trip for my husband's 50th birthday. It's a short drive to town and provided all we needed for our weekend stay. We would love to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the lake access and views. We took our son to the nearby Glimmerglass park and he enjoyed the playground and we soaked in the wonderful view of Otsego Lake.
Bill was very informative and resourceful and provided all of the local tourist spots and favorite restaurants. The Birds Nest was impeccably clean and we loved the heated floors! I definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a nice, quiet getaway.
Our rural country location and lakeside location really does lend itself to a variety of seasonal activities. Many people find the summer months to be the prime time to visit. But the Fall with all the colors, and even the Winter when the lake is frozen and there's piles of snow...these can be the best times to enjoy our area's quiet and beauty.
Located 7 miles north of famous Cooperstown, New York, the area is rich in history, beauty and culture. Where else can you boat to a world class opera performance? Visit Baseball's Mecca and take in a first class art museum? Hike, bike, shop and dine in a bucolic, rural setting. Cooperstown in even 'more perfect' when the summer crowds have gone! Come visit for a weekend and experience the Real Cooperstown!
