I have waited a few months in order to submit my review to see if the owner changed the photos on the profile but she hasn't.
I booked the apartment as I was staying for 5 weeks and wanted somewhere that looked nice as well as having a good location. The dining table was particularly important to me. To be fair to the owner I did receive a partial refund for my disappointment but if you are expecting the cream couch and the glass dinig table along with wooden bed then you too will be disappointed. The apartment looks nothing like the photos.
The owner did state that the advert says newly remodelled (it occured in April 2013) and she also stated that she hadn't had time to resubmit photos. Somthing I think is unacceptable given it is now nearly 2 years since the remodel.
The location is great if you want access to Fisherman's wharf, downtown and North Beach - all within walking distance if you don't mind walking like me. The local grocery store is adequate and Safeway and Trader Joe's are within 15 minutes walk.
The area is lovely and quiet with only the early morning parrots to disturb a lie in and the water is only a couple of blocks away - altogether a very nice area to be in.
Perfect location. Building is private and prestigious at the foot of Coit tower. Apartment is in perfect shape.
My wife and I stayed in this apartment during the summer just before and during the America’s Cup activities. This was a wonderful unit and Nicole was especially great to work with – she responded right away to our inquiry and had thought of a lot of the details that made our move-in and stay very comfortable. The apartment is in a well-secured and very clean building in a sunny enclave near Coit Tower. It’s within walking distance to a small gourmet market, neighborhood Italian restaurant, Levi’s Plaza and the Ferry Building. It was perfect for our needs and felt like home. Furnished beautifully and including wi-fi and cable, it was close enough to restaurants to eat out as we liked and well supplied to eat in when we felt like cooking. It is in walking distance (about 10-12 minutes) to Safeway (Safeway also delivers) and Trader Joe’s for easy access to food shopping. Highly recommended.
