You will instantly feel at home in our beautiful villa. Furnished to a high standard and sleeping six people, our quietly situated home will delight you. A large living cum dining area provides space and comfort, and opens out on to the terrace. A fully equipped kitchen leads off, opens onto the terrace, and also opens into the swimming pool area. Large sliding doors open the pool up onto the south facing pretty garden providing an indoor/outdoor pool to suit all weather conditions. There is a shower room at the back of the pool.
At the top of the wrought iron staircase are three bedrooms, two spacious doubles with fitted wardrobes and a twin with a large wardrobe. There are also three bathrooms.
As well as the superb 18 hole golf course, designed by Seve Ballesteros, the site offers much to explore - the lake, pools, horse riding, tennis, and a new 6 hole short golf course.
We live south of Edinburgh in beautiful Scotland but really appreciate the warmth and beauty of Provence.
Gina Rotherford purchased this villa in 2010
We holidayed in Pont Royal about 15 years ago - relaxing, fantastic weather and a beautiful golf course. We found ourselves coming back on several occasions and realised that if we were to buy a holiday home it was going to be on this site. Although it does provide many facilities it is not a tourist destination - the majority of people who rent on this site are looking for a home from home where they can unwind and explore at their leisure. As soon as we saw this property we knew it was the one we wanted to buy.
Our villa has everything we could need - 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a spacious open plan ground floor, with a beautiful covered terrace which makes outdoor dining almost compulsory!
But our favourite feature is the indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool, which opens onto the pretty secluded garden. We can swim all year round, day or night, and the children can splash away to their heart's content without us worrying about them getting sunburned.
First and foremost this is our home and we would like anyone renting it to love it and appreciate it as much as we do.
What a find! From the moment you drive into the Estate, you know you are somewhere pretty special. It's beautifully designed and feels very spacious and safe. The centre itself has all you could need with fabulous facilities, a decent shop, fresh baked goods, a bar and restaurant. You needn't actually leave the Estate, but if you do want to stock up there is a huge supermarket within a 5-10 minute drive.
The villa is in a great location - close enough to walk to the centre of the Estate, but also slightly removed - therefore offering us the peace and quiet we wanted.
It's a great size and felt very spacious, even though we were there in a large group. Every room felt light, open and had more than enough storage so that it never felt cluttered despite all our belongings.
The kitchen is well stocked - and actually has more utensils than we actually have at home!
The pool worked out really well with the children - you can lock all access to it, which means you can relax with the children running about. I thought the pictures were slightly deceptive and actually the pool is a lot bigger than it looks. We were able to swim a lot, and play games - which is all you want.
The garden and terrace area is perfect. Really beautiful to look at, as well as being very spacious. We were rather partial to sundowners at the bar area next to the barbecue every night!
Worth pointing out that our group flew into different airports as there are so many within an hour or so's drive, and the prices vary a lot. We ended up flying to Montpellier in the end which, although further, was incredibly cheap - and even with car hire for the week worked out cheaper than flying to Marseille.
We'd all go back like a shot.
We are a family of four and have just returned from Easter break at this property.
This property is very spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and furnished. The garden and pool are well maintained. The heated indoor is an added bonus, allowing you to swim in all weathers. It was lovely and warm and a good size. Also as the pool was indoor it meant we could relax knowing our small children could not get into the pool area unsupervised.
The property is is very well equipped (wifi and internet, satellite TV and CD stereo, good range of kitchen and cooking equpment, travelcot and high chair etc). Home from home.
Location is good lots of great places to visit within an hours drive. As well as facilates at Pont Royale. We recommend Mallemort for your daily Croissants!
All in all 5 Stars.
We have just got back from our second stay at this wonderful house in Pont Royal, with our 2 teenage children. It is a perfect and spacious home, with all bedrooms very good sizes; it has a stunning garden (must be 1/2 an acre!), and a heated indoor pool (meant we were swimming in February. What a treat!) The provision of Satellite TV and Wireless internet makes it feel home from home too.
There is so much to do, both in Pont Royal and the area, and the position of this house means you can enjoy peace and quiet, yet still be very close to all the amenities.
Fantastic holiday and we’ll definitely be booking again...
