The Beach House is two feet off the sandy beach of Colchester Point. This place is located on the widest part of the beach and was custom designed to accommodate your family without bumping into each other. Feel the wonderful lake breeze or turn on central AC on those windless nights. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and bonfires on the beach. Only 15 minutes to downtown Burlington and 1/2 mile to the major Bike Path.
Local Vermonter, fourth generation builder, outdoorsman. Had a great time building this place and would like to share a peace of Vermont heaven with y'all.
Bill Lanzetta purchased this house in 2012
I grew up spending my summers in this area and think it is one of the best summer spots in Vermont. The sand and water is always clean in this area because the lake is so wide with South winds always bringing waves. Looking at a map you will see it is a beach in the middle of a huge lake. 8 miles to Burlington
New New New everything is brand new. Guest room has king bed and door into full bathroom. Master has king bed, private bathroom, big closet, huge view of beach. Garage door separates kitchen and porch in case you want to run AC while still having screen porch amenities. Shade trees on beach in case you don't like umbrellas. Gradual sandy slope once in water makes is the perfect place to hang out, play, relax anchor boat or raft etc..
This house was amazing. My family congregated in Vermont for my daughter's UVM graduation. This house had something for everyone: the beach, kayaks, a great view, and close to Burlington. Bill, the owner, was great. I highly recommend staying here! !
This was our first "lake vacation" and it was AWESOME! The house was perfect for us. We had 2 families of 4 and had plenty of room. The house is immaculate. We loved having the beach footsteps away. We REALLY enjoyed having fires on the beach at night. We will definitely be going back soon!
It is a beautiful summer place, very clean, comfortable, modern furniture, confortable beds,we just loved it. A nice view of mountains and we had the beach at our door !!!!! Perfect place :)..It was nice to see family and friends in Vermont.......Thank you Lanzetta family..:)
In the Spring you are going to want to track down local Maple Syrup Houses and get a taste of this years liquid gold. Cruise into Burlington and feel the excitement and energy on Church Street as students complete final exams, shop the sales, and visit bars and restaurants keeping front doors prompted open. Burlington marathon is mid May.
For those that stay back at camp, you will watch waterfowl fly north up the lake, collect annual driftwood for nightly beach bonefires, and comb beach for sea glass (never coming home empty handed). Best chance of seeing local eagles are in the Spring, watch fisherman catching Lake Trout and Salmon a few hundred yards directly out front (in the Spring these fish are caught on the surface)
Summer time you are not wanting to leave. You have an absolutely beautiful spot two feet off the sand. Full mature trees out front will shade you from sun, no weeds or clams in water. Relax, recreation all around you if desired (your in Vermont). Toys, rafts, small boats etc.. can be pulled up on beach. Drive-in movie theatre open every night, pizza can be delivered within 35-50 minutes. Burlington has dining and bands outside, a lot less college students, a great waterfront destination, lots of recreational rental and tourist info about farms, mountain hikes, smaller lake locators, outlets and famous restaurants. Day trips to Montreal.
Fall is enjoying local Fairs, looking at the leaves, touring Stowe, Ben and Jerry's, golfing, hiking.
The Beach is lonely since school has started and birds start flying south. Start burning cut wood on the beach and sea glass starts to become scarce again. Tranquil sunsets make it worth the wait.
1/2 the rental fee up front as deposit, the other half due upon arrival.
