This classic 1928 Spanish bungalow is a veritable walled in botanical garden with outdoor seating and deck. This new listing has entirely new furnishings in all rooms, new appliances and paint. The home has a warm, plantation feel and dining/seating for 6-8 people.
Washer/dryer, 3 car outside parking, air conditioning, WiFi, new flatscreen.
Master queen size bed, 2nd bedroom trundle bed (sleeps 2 plus people, opens to European king), and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds.
Encinitas has a laid back beach town feel and this home has walking access to everything from playgrounds to yoga studios and board rentals, to great restaurants, bars and boutiques.
I am a California native with two beautiful grandsons. I live nearby and enjoy the perfect weather of Encinitas, the relaxed vibe, and beach walks.
Helen Sully Jones purchased this house in 1996
It was love at first sight!
I fell in love with the home´s gardens and unique Spanish style.
What a comfortable home. Everything was spotless upon Arrival. There were nice bed linens, plenty of towels, supplies for the week, including beach towels! Easy beach walk to Swamis and a friendly neighborhood. I'd rent again in a heartbeat!
We stayed a week and really enjoyed the location and accommodations. House is nicely decorated, comfortable and well equipped with just about everything you need (pots and pans but also surf boards and beach chairs). Great master bedroom. Trundle bed was a little uncomfortable in the second bedroom (I'd recommend just putting a queen in that room) and the patio could use some additional seating but overall, very nice place for the price.
We and our two school aged children really enjoyed our stay at this house in Encinitas, and will definitely be back the next time in the San Diego area. It is comfortable and very tastefully decorated, including the beds. Doors on three sides of the house open into the yard, which is gorgeous. We loved sitting on the deck and patio, and also being able to use the new BBQ. The house is handy to the beach, I-5 and 101, and downtown Encinitas, without feeling like being in the middle of the bustle. We had our car, but it seems like it would also be a good choice for people without a car -- a park is within easy walking distance, and not too much further is the rail line, some busses, and a small but very friendly Whole Foods and weekly farmer's market. The beach is also walkable though not as close, and all the beach chairs and toys you might need are available to borrow. The owner of the house was wonderful to work with.
This property was even more beautiful in person! The outside area all around the house is full of green and colorful plants & trees. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio area in the evenings to enjoy the beautiful weather. The inside of the house was immaculate, the bedrooms were bigger than what I had anticipated (its kind of hard to tell with the pictures) so that was a plus. The description of the house on line was very accurate, but I still think it was better in person. The Master bedroom had a large closet and big bathroom. Each room was nicely decorated. My husband, myself and my children really loved it here, I hated to leave! It is just over a mile away from the beach, Moonlight Beach was nice. However, you have several beaches to choose from close to the house. The town/city area, close to the beach was nice to walk around as well, a lot of restaurants, stores, etc. The neighborhood, was really nice also and very quite. Was a relaxing vacation and we can't wait to come back here to stay. I have already told all my friends and family about this place if they are looking for a nice get away! I definitely recommend it. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful home!
This wonderful home was beautifully decorated with a cool decor vibe with a great beach feel. Lots of indoor outdoor living and so much space for the entire family. We stayed here with our two teenagers and there was plenty of room. The secondary rooms are on opposites sides and the master is in the middle. The linens are high end and we had everything we needed. I will miss sitting outside on the deck watching the early morning people walking their dogs while I sip my coffee in the morning and my wine in the evening. Walking distance to restaurants if you want a little exercise, and far enough to where you don't hear the crazy party people at night.
Helen was a great help if we needed anything and we can't wait to come back. The pictures do not do this lovey place justice. It is also much bigger than it appears. I'll miss this house!
Enjoy all the amenities of our coastal downtown and Encinitas beaches. San Diego hosts some of the best parks: Legoland+waterpark+aquarium, Birch Aquarium, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Sea World, Balboa Park and museums. Nearby you´ll also find many golf courses, equestrian fields, and tennis courts at Moonlight Beach.
