I have been living in this valley over 30 years. A full time Musician playing guitar, banjo, harmonica and vocals ALSO a Ski Pro teaching Alpine and Adaptive skiing and snowboarding for Challenge Aspen and the Aspen Skiing Company, 25 years so far.
This cabin has been a labor of love to create a comfy hideaway to rest and rejuvenate from whatever you just came from! I am happy to be your host, hiking/biking guide and provide some extras if so desired and time permits........., guitar lessons, maybe u always wanted to learn some banjo..., massage therapy, pick you at airport....have your fridge stocked when you arrive...etc!!!
You can be on your own with full privacy or helped with some extras if u want.
Rich purchased this cabin in 2003
Close to everything summer and winter...private yet near by!
Your own private hideaway !
We stayed at Rich's Place and skied/snowboarded at Sunlight Mountain. The house is very comfy and Rich has done a great job thinking of everything that can make the stay easy and comfortable. We've rented many times through VRBO, both here and abroad, and we both agreed that Rich has gone the extra mile in thinking of ways to make his place exceptional. Little things like stocking the medicine cabinet with extra toothpaste and brushes, etc., really make a difference. The house is well maintained and the private yard is awesome. We'll definitely make it back there in the summer.

Rich was a fantastic host and the cabin is in a great location- walking distance to everything downtown Glenwood Springs has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was stocked with everything that we needed and even some essentials that we forgot- hello toothpaste. Cant say enough how comfortable feeling the cabin was. Great weekend getaway!
Wow - What an awesome place that was PERFECT for our stay in Glenwood Springs. The only bad thing about Rich's cabin going forward is: We never want to stay anywhere else when visiting Glenwood Springs. We are effectively SPOILED and having stayed in Glenwood for years at everyone of the best Hotels, nothing compares to the "home" feeling and coziness of Rich's cabin. So, if Rich's place in not available for our next trip to Glenwood, then Glenwood will not be part of the travel plan.
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday with our dog and two boys. We had a blast and enjoyed this cozy cabin very much. Rich provided great instructions and his cabin is very clean and comes equipped with everything one would need. It is walking distance to town and the boys enjoyed the wild turkeys and big horn sheep we came within a few feet of on our walks around the neighborhood. We highly recommend this cabin and would love to visit again. Thanks for sharing it with us, Rich!
What an amazing cabin tucked away on the foothills of Glenwood Springs in a quiet neighborhood. We cannot thank Rich enough for providing such a cozy home! Totally private and has everything you need plus all the fun extras like a fire pit, piano and grill all in your own front yard! We biked to all the places we wanted to visit...it is close to everything. Definitely making this an annual trip to stay in Rich's cabin in Glenwood Springs!
This perfectly located cabin is walking distance to the hot springs pool and vapor caves and glenwood caverns park. Yet set just back 3 blocks from hotel row and busy noise. 3 blocks walk to the trail system that goes all the way to aspen and two rivers park which has skateboard park and playground . Yes i often walk jasper and sit every night at the confluence of the roaring fork river and the colorado river. Just down at next exit there is the new water park for river surfing and all rafting activities.
I am equal distant between aspen/snowmass and vail ..41 miles.
The key thing about this awesome spot for you is your privacy and indoor/outdoor living space to kick back after your travels about. No better spot to have your end of day massage than ur front yard by the fire pit.....Or have your pet hangin with ya off leash in a safe gated yard. Full kitchen and outdoor bbq.
