Why Laura Cohen chose Florissant
This property took all of one minute to buy when we first visited. Location, Location, Location then View, View, View. Central to all things from the bigger city of Colorado Springs to peaceful solitude of the mountains.
What makes this Chalet unique
Laura and Lee believe it is as important who you lease from as what you lease.

Everything was perfect!
Place was perfect. Very clean, had everything we needed.
Gorgeous home with character!
Our stay at the Cirq du Chalet was fabulous! Fabulous location- in the heart of the mountains, private yet not isolated, with a lovely lake behind the house. The view of the lake from the upstairs bedroom was beautiful! The Chalet was thoughfully furnished, giving it a very authentic, cozy feel. We had TV, board games, a fully-stocked kitchen, and outside: picnic table, chairs, fire pit and a small swing. It is about 30-45 minutes from Pike's Peak, Rainbow Springs, Broadmoor Seven Falls and very close to Cripple Creek. We didnt want for anything during our stay! Its a perfect spot for staying in and enjoying nature's beauty as well as for heading out to the mountains!
You diffinatley explained the Chalet perfectly. We are so glad that you took advantage of everything that we have to offer. We do our best to have everything that you will need and to keep the Chalet perfectly clean so that when you walk in your first impression is WOW. Please visit again.
Everything you need, beautiful surroundings
We stayed here March 2018. It was very clean and well stocked. We had the pleasure of meeting the lady who cleans and maintains the property. It was obvious she took great pride in her work and enjoyed her job. That said a lot to me about the type of person the owner must be. We had fun exploring the property and using the fire pit. There are lots of scenic places to sit outside and lovely views. My six year old had a blast climbing the big rocks around the property. There was also a tree swing, which was a big hit as well. I came here to have a peaceful place to recover from major surgery and it was perfect! I loved stretching out in the lawn chairs and listening to the wind. Sitting there in sun, it felt like the rest of the world melted away, as all you can see are trees, mountains, and water. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised about, was how open and bright the inside of the house is. The pictures don't do it justice. It almost feels like you are outside/inside with all the picture windows. The gas grill was very clean! Make sure you bring your own firewood, and keep in mind that you do not actually have access to the pond in the background of some of the pictures unless you are staying for an extended period. We went ice fishing just up the road at Mueller state park. It was incredible and a must see if you stay here.
Usually Nora, our caretaker, is the cleaning fairy with no one getting a chance to meet her. She is the nicest woman and does an incredable job in keeping the Chalet OCD clean, lol. We rely on her help in keeping our great 5 star reviews. We are grateful for the wonderful review that you posted. Please return soon.
What a wonderful place! This location had absolutely everything we could ever want! It was cozy, clean, beautiful and with spectacular views! Perfect for a couple with dogs looking to relax, (like us) or a group of friends enjoying a weekend of fun! The yard was perfect and perfectly enclosed for our biggest escape artist! You WON'T regret booking this fantastic home! I can't wait to go back!!!!!
Thank you for such a great review. I could feel your excitement in your words. Our Chalet is such a special place we are happy to share it with guests like you.
Beautiful and relaxing!
I grew up in this house! It means so much to me that you are taking great care of it. We will be back in warmer weather to enjoy the fire pit and outside seating! Our stay was amazing! Thank you!!
It is so special to me and Lee that you and your family have been able to spend time in the house that your father built. We love it as though we built it ourselves. Please come share it with us anytime.
Perfect place just out of town but remote enough to get away from it all.
The posted pictures drew us here, and when we arrived we were not disappointed. The cabin is in perfect shape and bigger than it looks. The owners were more than accommodating. A great experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back.
The Chalet is so close to Colorado Springs. It is just a relatively short drive to get away from it all. We would love to have you back anytime. The summer temperatures are great for beating the heat and fall is spectacular.
