3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

Cirq Du Chalet Mountain Top Retreat a gorgeous private and separately owned vacation property adjoining and overlooking several trout lakes. Cirq Du Chalet offers stunning views and privacy for the discriminating guests.

Over 1400 square feet of well decorated, turn-key private vacation residence on 2.4 acres of mountain rock formations as well as native aspen and pine landscape. The Chalet sleeps 6-8 in a three bedroom and two bath 2 story retreat.

Many modern amenities include; fresh water well, septic, gas forced heat, electric, HDTV, Dish satellite, wireless internet, telephone, fireplace insert, newer appliances, new mattresses, bedding and linens, washer and dryer for longer term guests, and so much more. The home has been updated with new flooring, new furniture and a updated second bath. Everything is included in this turn-key vacation rental that you will need for any length of stay.

CIRQ DU CHALET is just far enough from the congestion of town but close enough for dinner and a show or shopping trip in any of the neighboring towns.

Nearby fishing, surrounding attractions, cities and adventures are just a short drive away making this location awesome for destination central. Immerse yourself and your guests in the best of mountain life. Hiking and biking trails/parks, white water rafting, world class downhill skiing, cross country skiing, 4 Wheeling, ATV trails, fast water trout fishing, tubing, horseback riding, hunting, casino gambling, visiting a gold mine, star gazing, or sitting on one of the numerous rock formations and taking in the spectacular views. You will find seating areas scattered around the property for intimate conversation or larger get togethers.

Centrally located to all the activities in and close to Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls, Garden of the Gods, and the Cliff Dwellings, but don't forget about the Canon City area, where some of the best white water rafting happens. The train ride through the Royal Gorge is highly recommended. You can also head over Hosier pass and visit the Ski areas like Breckenridge - about 80 miles away. Stop in Guffey, Colorado to shop for that antique yard art you didn't know you were missing or just set up an easel or tripod and shoot some amazing photos of America's past. Tell Bill we said 'Hey'. Take the kids to the North Pole and Pikes Peak only 25 minutes away.

Cripple Creek: This cabin is approximately 30 minutes from the gold mining and casino town of Cripple Creek. Something for everyone to do up here. It is home to one of the largest active gold mines. Take a mining tour, a train ride or enjoy wonderful restaurants and entertainment etc.

Teller County claims our property is in the town of Divide. The USPS and Google maps claims we are in the town of Florissant. We are really on the border of both towns. To get all of their attention we have lovingly renamed this area Floride.

From Colorado Springs head west

up Ute pass hwy 24. Travel through the towns of Woodland Park and Divide. Turn left at Twin Rocks Rd. Pass the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center. Take the next left at Trout Haven Rd. Continue up the mountain taking rights all the way up to Wahsatch Road.

Great Experience!

  • 5 of 5

This particular property is exactly as pictured and described. It is extremely clean and well cared for. The views from the property are absolutely amazing! If you're looking to stay in town and 5 minutes from everything, this is probably not the place for you. We didn't mind driving a few minutes and being in such a beautiful location was well worth it for us!

We had kids and a small dog and everyone was comfortable and had a good time. There is MUCH to do in the area such as Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak, the Royal Gorge, etc.

Laura is a great host. I had one issue of a light not turning on (wired to a switch) and she responded immediately. I would highly recommend her place to anyone!

Lake View Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin with a gorgeous view of the lake. We watched two buck deer eating very close by and enjoyed coffee on the natural stone patio. The cabin was furnished very nicely and was very clean. We had everything we needed. It was convenient to Colorado Springs where we went to ride up the railway to Pikes Peak. We could've stayed many more days, however, this was the last stop of our trip West before we had to head back to Tennessee. We hope to come back one day! Thanks Laura!

Great little getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Decided to spend a few days in the mountains with our boys, and this was perfect! Plenty of space for them to roam around outside, really comfortable accommodations, and a relaxing evening for mom and dad after the boys were tucked in bed. Close enough to civilization to get what we needed, but far enough away to really relax. Beautiful views, just an overall great place to spend some time with the family!

Wonderful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The Cirq Du Chalet is a wonderful get-a-way! A well-appointed cabin on an amazing lot that is welcoming the moment you pull up the drive way. We made dinner every night and enjoyed the fire while it snowed outside. The WiFi worked great which was a huge benefit as we were able to stay connected for our work and online classes. The location is also amazing as it’s very close to a Wolf Sanctuary, Mueller State Park, Cripple Creek, and only about an hour away from the Royal Gorge. I wish we could have stayed longer as there was so much to explore! Owners were very easy to work with and the home/services were as advertised or better.

We would recommend this place to our friends/relatives in a heartbeat!

Owner's Response: You just mentioned most of the reasons that I was immediately attracted to the Chalet when I first saw it. Lee actually didn't get to see it until after we owned it. Luckily he trusts me. Please come back again, we would love to have you.

Amazing hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed this wonderfully appointed chalet for 10 days, hosting two of our grown children and one grandson, and my brother and his wife, and there was plenty of room and very comfortable beds ( especially in the charmingly decorated King-sized master bedroom). The bathrooms were roomy and furnished with quality towels, hair drier, mirrors etc. I can't say enough about the fully provisioned kitchen; I had brought several items that I didn't expect to find, but there they were. The dinnerware and flatware and glassware were of really nice quality, as well as the cookware.

There is a large Safeway store in Woodland Park, plus a Walmart, and a remarkably well-supplied smaller grocery in Divide, as well as a very nice restaurant that features very delicious pizza along with an ambitious menu. We fished in Skaguay Reservoir with success (rainbow trout) about an hour from the cabin, and near Cripple Creek, an old mining town that is fun to visit. There are other nearby fishing reservoirs, plus the beautiful though private lake viewed from the porch and the comfy Adirondack chairs there.

The chalet is a bit challenging to find, but the map and instructions provided worked well. The nearby wolf sanctuary was a fun expedition, and for kids there's a surprisingly good dinosaur museum in Woodland Park, where there are lots of fun restaurants, and a clean and convenient laundromat. I have some mobility problems, but the chalet was quite accessible, though it would probably not permit wheelchair access. The weather was cool but not cold...a great escape from Texas summer heat.An altogether warm and inviting location!
