We had a wonderful stay in this home--there were actually beds for all 18! And the space was well set up, with a hot tub and fire pit outside! The kitchen and living space were big enough for group meals, though split between the two tables. Just as advertised =)
"A Bit of Heaven" was a great choice for our family vacation. The location is quiet and nature abounds. It's variety of dining seating choices was a plus. The views from the Hilltop perch, are really sweet! From our master bedroom, we could clearly see Pagosa Peak and surrounding mtns. Management company is very responsive. A more thorough cleaning was needed with dust bunnies found under beds/furniture and cobwebs/dust on windows. Pet hair was on carpets (though this is a 'no pet' facility) West facing window screens were "hole-y" and need replacing. A couple of commode seats were smaller than the toilet bowls. But, overall, it was a good value and beautifully adorned. We would stay here again! Thanks to the Texas owners for sharing!
We had a very good time spending a week here for our summer vacation. There were 17 of us, and this place had plenty of room. The kids really enjoyed their nightly foozeball tournaments! We did have a couple of minor issues that the owner and property manager were quick to help us resolve. The morning views were quite peaceful from the front porch with a blanket and a cup of coffee. The hot tub was nice after a long day fishing at the lakes or hiking all day. Town is not too far, yet far enough to notice. The only real complaint we could have was the back yard should have been mowed.
Casino located in ignacio 30 minutes west from pagosa springs, chimney rock ruins 30 minutes west of town. Durnago 60 miles west of town with shopping, dining, skiing, and the durango silverton train.
