About Sue or Bob Kust
We fell in love with Holland when we would visit our girls who both attended Hope College, when graduation time creeping up on us we set about to find a vacation home in this lovely community, We love the friendliness, shopping, farmers market, the lake and beaches and of course all that goes on at Hope College. Since we live in Cincinnati we decided to rent our house out so that others could enjoy it when we weren't there ourselves.
Sue or Bob Kust purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Sue or Bob Kust chose Holland
We loved the cottagey feel and the proximity to the beach, there is nothing like taking a short walk down the street to the Lake, even in the winter. It is a changing landscape everyday. Also the house has plenty of room for a crowd and a great outdoor area. Its a great place to unwind.
What makes this Cottage unique
Close to the bike trails and beach but on a quite street away from the crowds. Short walk to the beach and short ride into town for restaurants and shopping

This beautiful home worked very well for our 3 families. 6 adults and 5 kids 7 years and under were totally comfortable. Loved the porch and walking down to Tunnel Park for the sunset.
Comfortable home in a great location!
Comfortable home in a great location for exploring surrounding areas. We like to spend time in Saugatuck, Holland and Grand Rapids. This house was a great location to do just that! It was very close to Tunnel Park which we visited a number of times during our stay. The house itself had plenty of space for 4 adults and our two children. We enjoyed spending time out front on the porch and the fire pit area. Bring your own wood as none is provided. The street had a fair amount of cars traveling by throughout the day and some were going way over the limit. That made me uneasy at times with our young girls playing out front. The house had a few areas in need of attention (dust on light fixtures, stairs had not been vacuumed thoroughly, wear and tear in paint on walls) but nothing that would keep us from a return stay. The outdoor shower was useful after time at the beach. Beautiful flowers blooming out front made for a nice view while sipping morning coffee on the porch. We especially liked that we were able to book a four night stay in July and did not have to commit to a full week during the summer season as many other homes require.
We enjoyed staying at this getaway. It was cozy and fit our needs. We did not know that someone lived on the property connected to the house. It was not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know that prior to booking our reservation.
A fun vacation place
A great house and location. The managers were very easy to get in touch with. We would highly recommend .
Great spot close to everything.
The property was very nice and had a great location to the beach and to restaurants. Only recommendation I would have is if you want to go to the beach go to Holland state park the beach is way bigger and not steep compared to the tunnel park beach.
Glad you liked the house and location. Each beach in Holland is a little different. Tunnel park is not completely flat like Holland a State Park, it is also not the steepest beach in the area. It is rated one of the top beaches on the west side of Michigan, we feel lucky to be able to walk there.
We so enjoyed our stay! Property was just as advertised. Very clean & spacious. Perfect for 7 adults & 1 child. Having bicycles available to ride was a plus!
Just a few minute walk to beautiful Lake Michigan and Tunnel Park. Enjoy the stunning views of clear blue water, sailboats and seagulls as you kick back and unwind. There’s no better place to be in the spring than Holland's Tulip Time Festival. Known for our famous Tulip Time Festival, Windmill Island and Dutch Village just to name a few of our local attractions. Fall is a great time to take a hike and enjoy the fall colors. We are surrounded by miles and miles of bike trails. You can bike all the way to Grand Haven along the lakefront. In the winter curl up next to your own cozy fireplace, cross country ski or just marvel at Lake Michigan’s Icebergs. The downtown is a great place to shop even during the snowiest winter days with help of our heated downtown sidewalks and outdoor fireplace. Holland’s downtown is vibrant year round and is a huge draw for locals and visitors alike. Don't forget to visit our famous Holland Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays summer and Fall! Christmas Market after Thanksgiving !
