About Robert Heinrich

I am the Caretaker of this very special home. My Daughter and I run the fun here.

Robert Heinrich purchased this castle in 1995

Why Robert Heinrich chose Lake Winnipesaukee Area

This property is a well kept secret. The original home was built in 1897 as a Grand Victorian Cottage by AV Lincoln, the largest property owner in Charlestown,MA which was at the time the epicenter of Boston. Mr. Lincoln was the real-estate consultant for the railroad, which was booming at the time. Mr Lincoln sighted the home perfectly in such a way that it always is sunlit with the undisputed best view of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee mountains found anywhere.

What makes this castle unique

Every day is beautiful from The Lincoln Cottage, rain or shine. Watching a weather event from here is alost as good as a sunny day. Everything you need for a home away from home is here at the Lincoln Cottage.

Outstanding property! Beautiful home and glorious setting!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect place for a family reunion! House is comfortable with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms plus a 3rd floor "fun" room. Fantastic kitchen! We were 6 adults and 4 teenagers and loved our time there. Robert is an excellent and responsive host! We all hope to return.

Autumn spectacular

  • 5 of 5

After being away from New England for over 40 autumns we decided to return. Our choice of The Lincoln Cottage could not have been better. It overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee and every day we could monitor color changes from the balcony overlooks. Many friends gathered and celebrated the beautiful setting. Close to Mt. Washington and the Kancamagus Hwy. we also enjoyed many hikes in the area. It is a great "manhouse" with lots of wood in a wonderfully outfitted kitchen. Game room is the best and the owner is always ready to help if needed to remedy small problems that might creep up in a 100+ year old home. It was a perfect visit and the house felt like home as we sadly departed for our next destination.

Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Myself and a large group of friends had the honor of staying in this beautiful house this past weekend. The owner, Robert was so friendly and was a call/text away if we had any questions or needed anything at all. He even showed us around the house and where everything was before he left. We had such an amazing time and couldn't be happier with our stay here, we didn't want to leave!

From the wrap around deck, to the gas stove, and even the private beach with a fire pit..our experience there will be forever remembered. I will most definitely be booking with Robert again and hope to make this a yearly tradition.

If you enjoy beautiful views of the lake, breathtaking sunrises/sunsets, relaxing by the lake with a fire and, just feeling completely at home then this is the place for you!

Might be the very best view on the entire Lake

  • 5 of 5

Our entire family enjoyed our stay. The home had beautiful wood everywhere - Panels, floors, cabinets, ceilings. Just lovely. The kitchen is a dream with multiple ovens, dishwashers, etc. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. The top floor is a large separate living area with a bed, bar, full kitchen, full bath and spectacular views.

The large porch overlooks the Lake and provides excellent family time just watching the boats, sunrise and even sailboat races.

The owner is very accommodating and is nearby should a renter need his assistance.

I highly recommend this vacation getaway.
