Near new, 70 sq m furnished apartment in quiet no-exit street 15 odd minutes from the old city or airport. 1 bedroom with double bed, own bathroom, and kitchen in a beautiful, private area of Chiang Mai with several outstanding Thai restaurants close by serving delicious Northern Thai food.
Situated in a quiet no-exit street with rice fields and longan orchards nearby, this 1st floor apartment is secure, and it's safe to walk around the area at night. The local Thai people are very friendly and accommodating.
The apartment has its own cooking facilities, or you can visit some of the fabulous inexpensive Thai restaurants within walking or cycling distance. Guest access is private with their own key.
It's 1 bedroom with double bed, own bathroom, kitchen and air-con, with it's own private entrance. The apartment is only 4 years old with its own cooking facilities, or you can visit some of the fabulous inexpensive Thai restaurants within walking or cycling distance.
The apartment has its own kitchen, and bathroom, filtered drinking water, microwave, toaster, hot plate, and coffee maker, along with hair dyer, free high speed Wifi, TV, Netflix, Blueray DVD player with 100's of movies, and Bose stereo with a phone connection so you can play your own music.
The owner lives in another apartment at the same address, and as our business here depends on reliable high speed internet, there's fibre to the apartment which is typically 100 Mb down and 30 Mb up.
There's also information for yoga classes, hair salon, Thai cooking school, and all the local restaurants along with Boys Blues Bar for the best live blues music in Chiang Mai.
Guests can have as much or as little of our time as they'd like. We can advise where to go, what to do and see, especially a few of our secret favourites that you won't find online or in the guide books.
The street is a no exit, so only local traffic and is very quiet in a suburb that is typically Thai with orchards, rice paddies and mainly older style wooden teak houses and excellent, cheap local restaurants. There's a small shop 100m away for daily snacks, beer, etc, main shopping area with a Tesco mini store about a click away along with coffee shops, bank, lunch restaurants, pharmacy and fabulous outdoor markets on a Monday and Wednesday evening.
There are also 2 free (21 gear) mountain bikes to explore the area, as there is great cycling through the countryside or to the new Promenada Mall 15 minutes away, or a 6 kms cycle into town to the Night Bazaar. But best to hire a scooter to explore further afield, as many of Chiang Mai's great attractions are 20 kms+ outside the city. We can rent you a near new scooter at about US$7/day, and if booked, also a car, so make sure you bring your international driver's license.
Taxis are available into the city, there's also Grab ride sharing (just like Uber) or you can rent a scooter per day, get a songthaew (red truck - a true shared ride but pay per person), tuktuk or use the 2 free mountain bikes into the old city.
There's emergency lighting in case of a power cut, fire extinguisher and smoke alarm, all detailed in the House manual
It's not really suitable for children under 12 years, pets, loud parties or smokers unless they smoke outside.
Please respect the peaceful Thai neighbourhood and be polite to our Thai neighbours.
