About Daniel Trimbach

I am a designer and live in New York City. I am also an active triathlete and travel to races most weekends during the summer.

Daniel Trimbach purchased this house in 2008

Why Daniel Trimbach chose Hudson Valley

The area is full of outdoor adventures, hiking trails, secret swimming falls, farmers markets, and antique shops. I love it because the locals are very friendly and helpful. Also the road and mountain biking opportunities are endless.

If you feel like being pampered, the house is 20 minutes from the famous Mohonk Mountain House. They have a brand new world class spa and indoor pool.

What makes this house unique

When I first saw this house, I recognized it right away. It looks like it is floating in air. During the summer, the breezes gently pass through and mother nature is always putting on a show. During the non winter months, the roof deck at night offers an unobstructed view of the stars. It is at the end of a private road and abuts a New York State land preserve.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I was just here a month ago and had to come back.

I loved the view. Saw many birds and several deer on the property- was gorgeous.

As before, the owner was super nice and helpful.

Plan on staying here again.

I would highly recommend it, especially if you love nature and hiking.

Modern Hideaway In The Woods

  • 5 of 5

Marie and I spent a week in this lovely retreat in the woods and loved it. Modern conveniences in a classic architectural style. Huge windows give you the feeling that you are actually outside in the forest! Comfortable beds and beautiful and unique bathrooms along with a kitchen with all the conveniences of home. We did some shopping at Peters Market (recommended) for some food items. We also found some lovely restaurants to dine at including Friends and Family(warm, charming and friendly) in Accord, and Mountain Brauhaus in Gardiner. This place is perfect for a couple(or 2 couples) and you will enjoy the serenity. Also the sundeck on the roof is a perfect lounging spot-one recommendation I would have for the owner is to put up a shade umbrella, possibly over the picnic table as there is no shade during the day.Overall this is a great summer place and we plan to return.

Absolutely stunning home in the woods!!! The view is so beautiful--- you can't even do it justice when you describe it. Modern and warm design. Fully stocked kitchen.

Clean bathrooms. The host is very lovely and accommodating. I didn't want to leave.

Great hiking nearby. A nature lover's paradise! On a scale from 1 to 10, this house is a 1 million!
