I was so happy with this resort. I felt very comfortable and so safe. Location was perfect and walking to shopping and food next door. Did not have to get in car to find something to eat all the time. Would highly recommend.
Kathy, what we like to hear! KrellersGetaway appreciates very much the opportunity to accommodate. Mahalo nui!
Last minute booking for a short stay to surprise my Brother Inlaw and sister. Was extremely happy with the booking process. Very good communication. Check in was smooth and easy, #163 was clean and exactly as described. Weather was stormy so sitting on the Lanai and watching the waves was beautiful. A/C was an awesome addition as weather was hot and muggy, made sleeping very comfortable. Would suggest this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay to watch/listen to the ocean.
Teresa, thank YOU for allowing KrellersGetaway the chance to accommodate! Appreciate it and we would be honored to host again some time in the future. Mahalo!
A great place to say
My stay at this unit was better than expected by far. It was very clean, well furnished, quiet and close to the beach; pretty much all I wanted. The complex is centrally located and having the restaurant right next door was a bonus as well. Very competitively priced and a great value. Brad was very responsive and welcoming pre-trip and would very much recommend to anyone going to Kauai.
Clean and well located
the room was very clean and comfortable.
Easy to access the property and reach it.
the room was just few steps from the ocean, and with a nice garden view from the window.
I'd return here next time I will be in Kauai.
KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate, Marco! Thank you for taking the time out to insert a comment online. Mahalo!
Great location and virtually on the beach !
My husband and I recently spent a wonderful few days at the Islander on the Beach in Kreller's unit 163. This is the 4th time we have stayed with Kreller's and as usual everything was just perfect. Over the years we have stayed at many resorts on Maui, the Big Island and Oahu and unquestionable the units we have stayed in at Kreller's Islander on Kauai are the best value we have found anywhere in Hawaii. We love Luau Kalamaku at Kilohana Plantation for a fabulous luau, Cafe Portofino for oceanfront dining and The Happy Talk Lounge on the north shore for fabulous cocktails and amazing sunsets over Bali Hai.
Beverly, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate each and every time you visit the Garden Isle! Means so much to us that we have such a response with repeat guests. Very much appreciate it! Thanks, too, for pointing out some hot spots on the island as it helps other guests when trying to decide where to eat. Until the next time...
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.

IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Check out http://www.coconutcoasters.com/. Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
