All things true, this is the 3rd floor of the building. With that being said, it is spacious for either a single person or a couple. The main bedroom is up a set of stairs, just be conscious of the ceiling. The place was clean and tidy, with our towels set out. And the kitchen is set up with the basic essentials if you choose to cook simple dishes. Close proximity to the Italian Market area (like right around the corner) with lots to explore and the ability to purchase fresh produce, pasta and meat. All a win-win. The ability to park a car was always a challenge, but the owner does offer several good suggestions. Just be prepared to know you vehicle won't be outside the front door.
Clean and close enough to walk to the historic sights.
As long as you realize you are in a 3rd floor walkup, this apartment is nice, clean, and had everything we needed to relax after spending the day touring the sights. The space is just as pictured. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to Independence Hall. From there the Phlash bus cost $5 per day and went to all the popular museums. We took in the Independence Hall areas, Reading Terminal Market, Drexel Natural History Museum, Mutter Museum, the Art Museum and Rocky statue, and Museum of the American Revolution using Phlash. The ferry to Camden was about $9 to get over to see the USS NJ.
Clean, neat and tidy. Perfect for our 1 night stay...
cozy, bright and convenient
We spent a long weekend here at the end of April. The apartment is very clean, cozy and bright. The rooms were comfortable, linens were fresh, there were little extras like coffee, shower stuff, bottled water, chocolates available. Everything was set up nicely, convenient to the places we wanted to go. It's on a quiet street that isn't far from restaurants, coffee places, food shopping, bars, etc. Easily en route to sight-seeing: historic area, Italian Market, the Mutter museum. Geno's and Pat's cheesesteaks are nearby, and a terrific hole-in-the-wall Mexican place. For a long weekend stay, this is a great spot. It was less than half an hour by cab from the 30th St. Station in reasonable traffic.
Caveat: the previous review that mentioned the stairs is correct. The apartment is on the top floor of a 3-flight walkup, with steep stairs. The bedroom proper is an attic room with low, sloping ceiling. (This didn't bother us at all, but it is worth noting for those that wouldn't enjoy it).
Cute apartment that has nice interior and well kept. The stairs up the to third floor can be a challenge but it is well worth it.
