A truly desirable property with city centre location, lovely views over the gardens of Charlotte Square and state of the art presentation. Ideally positioned; the shops of Princes Street are literally on the doorstep and the offices of Charlotte and St Andrews Square are a short walk away, whist the lively bistros and bars of George Street and the West end are readily accessed.

The spacious bright sitting/dining room has four large astragal west facing windows with views over Charlotte Square. There is a dining table and sofa suite to seat four and a 52' plasma television with surround sound. Next door the modern fully fitted kitchen includes integrated Neff and Bosch appliances. Both bedrooms are excellent in size and both have TVs. The master has a superior en suite shower room, comprising a double shower cubicle, Duravit sanitary ware and heated floor. The family bathroom is an elegant room, also fitted with Duravit sanitary ware, heated floors and beautiful floor to ceiling tiling.

A welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk awaits guests on arrival as does a selection of complementary Scottish toiletries.

A great location; the shops of Princes Street are literally on the doorstep and the offices of Charlotte and St Andrews Square are a short walk away, whist the lively bistros and bars of George Street and the West end are readily accessed. Recognised stores such as Jenners, Cruise, Louis Vuitton and Harvey Nichols are all nearby, as are leisure centres, cinema, theatres and exclusive nightclubs. Great location!!

Other than hauling out suitcases up the 3 flights of stairs, this was an ideal apartment. Nice accommodations and location. When I selected it, I wasn't aware of the neighborhood. So close to great restaurants and downtown area. Will definitely recommend and stay away if I happen to visit Edinburgh again.

An Excellent Experience of Edinburgh

The property was just as described - ideally situated in the city centre, just steps away from Princes Street, spacious, with modern appliances and plenty of room for four; there was also parking available. (However, I would advise visitors not to take a car there; it is close enough to most attractions that walking, cabs or buses are much better, and Edinburgh traffic is scary). Shopping, groceries, restaurants and bars are all handy. We loved being there and I would certainly recommend it. Our contact person was prompt, kind and helpful.

Downsides? - the apartment is on the THIRD floor (called "second" in British terminology), with steep stairs and no elevator ("lift"). NOT good for people with disabilities or parents with small children. Minor defects - sitting-room furniture is oldish, dining chairs stained; anything missing? only a teacosy, kitchen scissors, sharp knife, simple instructions for stove and washer.

Note to U.S. visitors: British have "combined washer/dryers" which are good washing machines but ineffective at drying clothes.

Old Edinburgh buildings do tend to have quite a lot of stairs - it's just part of the character :) I have passed on the comments about the furniture and kitchen equipment to the owner of the property.
