Los Cabos, located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, is home to San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Enjoy the old-time charm of Mexico in San José del Cabo. Meander through downtown San José and peruse the quaint shops and vibrant food of the local restaurants. Venture out to the San José Estuary and glimpse some of the hundreds of species of tropical and migratory birds. Switch gears and explore the energy of Cabo San Lucas, where you can enjoy the night life, market, marina, beaches and restaurants that make it one of Mexico’s top 5 tourist destinations. Parasailing, snorkeling and whale watching tours are available, as well as glass boat tours to the Arch of Cabo San Lucas and Lover’s Beach. Public transportation is available between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas along the Transpeninsula Highway behind the resort. The bus runs every 15 minutes. There are no set schedules or stops. When you see the bus, while you wait for it along the highway, wave to let the bus driver know you would like to be picked up – it’s that simple! At the resort, you’ll find a concierge staff, rental car desk — should you want to forego the bus — an incredible pool complex with a swim-up bar and Restaurant Mama Mia with an ocean view and live music nightly. It’s the no-hassle destination, full of color and culture. Note: There is no swimming at the resort beach due to a dangerous undertow. The nearest swimming beach is five miles away and can be reached by bus, taxi or rental car. Proof of citizenship is required to enter Mexico. Visitors should regularly monitor the U.S. State Department’s website where the current Worldwide and Caution Travel Alert, Travel Warnings and Travel Alerts can be found. Helpful Hints Hurricane Season is the strongest between August and October. As you leave customs at the airport, sales people may attempt to sell you ride offers. It is recommended that you make your own ground transportation arrangements at least two weeks in advance of travel.
