This is a lovely sunny apartment situated in the new 'Kotor Vista' complex of Muo, a prime position on Kotorska Bay. Montenegro Holidays says: 'With an amazing location, stunning views and fantastic facilities, we think Kotor Vista are the best holiday apartments in Montenegro'.

From the large balcony you have a magnificent, panoramic view both during the day and at night when the bay is flooded with lights. Once you've had your fill of sightseeing, the private balcony steps leading down to a large sunbathing terrace with two swimming pools and a jacuzzi make a perfect spot for relaxation (available May 1st to October 31st). Children are also well catered for at Kotor Vista – both with a children’s pool and a separate play-area.

The scene during the day is always changing as yachts and cruisers come and go. The old medieval town and Venetian port of Kotor is a short, pleasant walk away, just 300m across the blue bay. Outside the town is a daily market with fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and flowers. Many good restaurants to suit all pockets can be found giving good service and good value for money. Kotor bay is central for visiting other beautiful locations around the area and in my view the best position. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with quality kitchen appliances, leather sofa and chair, solid beds and cotton linen, built-in wardrobes, a/c, hydro-massage bath and heated floor.

Great place to stay

The apartment is well situated approx. 15 minute walk to the main town. The views from the property are amazing.

The property itself is big enough for 4 people and reasonably equipped. The pool is lovely which can be seen from the

apartment terrace. The town has many bars and restaurants. We couldn't fault it at all. Thank you for allowing us to

stay in your property.

A nice apartment in a great location overlooking Kotor

We, a family of five, stayed for a week in this nice apartment and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. Mark always replied quickly and answered all my questions. The best thing about the apartment is the pool and the AMAZING view! It was impossible to get tired of looking at Kotor Bay, the city walls, the mountains, the cruise ships. We loved it!

The master bedroom is very nice with a great view. The second bedroom is smaller with two separate beds. There was a funny smell in this room (which we pointed out to Mark, so I think it'll be taken care of). There are two good bathrooms, one with a bath, one with a shower. There is a washing machine.

The kitchen had all utensils, pots and pans we needed. It was easy to cook and prepare food. The dishwasher was broken and was not fixed during our stay, which annoyed us somewhat.

In the living room there is a sofa which our oldest son slept in. There were lots of TV-channels, but we didn't watch TV. I liked the fact that there were books to borrow. The wifi was useless and we couldn't use it more than at random times.

The outdoor furniture was a bit worse for wear, but the view made us forget about that. The poolarea is great and we spent many hours in the pool. Lots of loungers and not a lot of people even though we stayed in July. Having a pool in Kotor/Muo feels like a must in the summer.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Kotor. The taxi costs max 2 Euros. Kotor is one of the nicest places we've been to. Dubrovnik has nothing on Kotor! We would love to come back:-)!

Great location, shame about the missing bits

Let into the apartment via the bedroom door, which unfortunately had dropped so had to be lifted into a locking mode.

The Front door had a penalty notice on it stating the the fees had been paid so we were not supposed to use the complex facilities.

No Dish cloth, No Tea towels, Coffee Filter machine , but alas no glass jug to allow coffee top filter into.

No Kitchen sink plug or washing up bowl. to make washing up possible.

The spare linen, beddding didn't look clean at all.

Other than these things, the apartment had a good position, easy walk into Kotor. Convenient local well stocked shop and Relax bar eatery close by.

The apartment had air conditioning which worked brilliantly, bed very comfortable.

Patio furniture was in very bad condition , with the plastic wicker breaking up and the parasol base , (2) both broken , I had to purloin a base from the community ,as to use the patio balcony with the weather in the high 30's made it essential. Overall we enjoyed our trip, and apart from the bits we returned home rested.

Owner's Response: Dear Paul, We were unaware of these problems and while we would prefer to find them ourselves in advance of our guests arriving we are very grateful for you taking the time to report them. We have taken immediate action.... The worn patio furniture has been replaced The parasol base has been replaced The missing kitchen utensils have been added: dish cloths, tea towels, glass jug, kitchen sink plug and washing up bowl. All maintenance fee payments are also up to date. If you found any spare linen which was marked I can assure you it is not the linen we put on the beds. The clean linen is brought to the apartment on the changeover days. Kind regards, Mark

Nice apartment, amazing views, clean and well equipped

I booked this apartment for a weekend in April 2016 as a surprise for my Partners 40th. After spending hours searching I chose this because of mainly the amazing view, the short distance into the Old Town and the outdoor, heated swimming pool.

Communication with the owner was good via email with a rental agreement sent and directions/contact details of who to meet when we got there.

Upon arrival the apartment was clean and well equipped and the view was amazing.

The one massive disappointment was that the promised 'heated' swimming pool was empty and not in use because we had booked slightly out of Season. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement, I was not informed at the time of booking that the pool wouldn't be in use...I would not have booked it had I been told this.

The apartment itself is great and the reason I have given it a low rating is due to the fact that I wasn't told that the pool would not be in use. The apartment is clean and has everything you need in it. All in all we had a great trip but not having a pool when we were expecting a heated pool was a massive let down. Make sure you ask before booking this apartment :0(

Fantastic! View

It was a very nice appartment with a really fantastic view, almost unbelievable view from the living, sleepingroom, terras and also the swimmingpool. The hostes is very nice and is willing to help you with everything if necessary. There is a nice little restaurant/cafe RELAX very nearby, also a nice foodshop nearby with everything you need every day. Only the walk to the old town is on a small road with soms a lot of traffic. And the wifi is shared and works in busy times not good.

Bonne location

L'appartement est bien mis (proche de la piscine) et assez fonctionnel. Tout est très propre. La vue sur la baie de Kotor est très belle. La personne de contact sur place reste disponible tout le temps du séjour. Le seul point négatif est que si en haute saison tous les logements sont loués, il ne doit pas y avoir beaucoup de place libre autour de la piscine.

The apartment is situated in Muo, Kotor Bay, a vast butterfly shaped expanse of water surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. The bay is a magnet for sailors and sightseers alike. It is a place of stunning natural beauty and the southern-most Fjord in Europe. It is quiet and peaceful, it has fantastic views and is surrounded by other places of interest. Something for everyone.

The apartment is 15 minutes walk from the old Venetian town of Kotor, a jewel of the Adriatic and a UNESCO world heritage site. Narrow alleyways open out onto piazzas, churches and palaces. The awe-inspiring twelfth-century city walls climb 200 metres up the sheer mountain face and form an impressive backdrop to Kotor’s annual Venetian carnival. Other recommended towns on the seafront are Perast and Herceg-Novi.

It is a 2 minute walk to the fjord waterfront and 15 minutes drive to the nearest sandy beaches. The Montenegrin coastline has numerous beaches in separate bays and coves to explore and is ideal for either a relaxing or adventure holiday.

If you head inland you'll find dramatic scenery in Montenegro's national parks. There is Europe's longest and deepest canyon known for its white water rafting, the mountain region, hiking trails around the glacial lakes in the forests and the 40,000 ha Lake Skadar. There is a local group who can help organize your adventure activities.

The food and the local vranac wine also comes highly recommended.

Montenegro is a picture of the Mediterranean as it once was: breathtaking natural beauty, exquisitely preserved ancient towns and warm, welcoming locals.

Activities for children:

You have the Kotor city walls which take you partially up the mountain and have some good viewpoints.

Jazz beach has the most activities going on for children, that's heading towards Budva, 20 min drive.

There is a mountain pass from Kotor heading up to Mount Lovcen which has some amazing views of the fjord and Adriatic sea. At the summit is Lovcen National Park which has a high rope course.

From Kotor Old Town you can book kayaking, scuba diving or other boat tours.

At Hotel Mediteran in Becici there is an Aqua Park.

For younger children:

Kamelija Shopping Centre about 1 km from Kotor old town has a children's playroom

Parents can also take kids to Igalo outside La Bamba to enjoy bouncy castles, slides and a water bouncy castle.
