About Josée Meunier
Pierre and I are from Quebec. We speak both French and English fluently and live on the property, so we are available anytime for help or info. We moved to St-Lucia in 2005, fell in love with the little cove just outside the bay of Marigot and decided to build near it. We loved St-Lucia then...and still do after 12 years and are always happy to share this love of the island with our guests.
Josée Meunier purchased this House in 2006
Why Josée Meunier chose Castries City
The land we bought and built on has lovely views of a mountain and the ocean and a 3 minute walk to that secluded cove, which is the main reason we built on the south side of the ridge The villas are built far from the road, enclaved in the mountain, surrounded by nature and the sounds of numerous species of birds and our tropical gardens ,with little paths to walk on and discover all this beautiful vegetation. And then of course the cove for swimming and snorkeling.
What makes this House unique
If you are a bird fancier, you will see and hear many varieties on our property. We also have a nice exterior gym for our fitness buffs.

Paradis on earth managed by wonderful hosts
Beautiful property steps away from a secluded beach, set in a lush tropical garden. Villas impeccably kept with all you can ever need. Hosts are present and caring to your every need. Of the many places we visited around the world, Villa pomme d’amour is right at the top. Will be back.
Peaceful, private and stunning apartments
Josee and Pierre are incredible hosts, we've never experienced anything like it before. From the airport lift, welcome drinks and snacks right up until the goodbyes at end of our trip we felt like we were staying with dear friends. Josee helped us plan our day trips and made sure we had everything we needed from a hire car to beach towels.
The beautiful villas are really clean and comfortable with a lovely outside dining area for watching the amazing sunset over the little private bay. The friendly birds will come and join in with meals! Open doors, windows and fans provide enough breeze so no air conditioning is needed. Our teenage daughters loved cooling down in the fresh water swimming pool surrounded by flowers, geckos, hummingbirds and Bernard the hermit crab who Pierre introduced us to.
Marigot Bay is a short distance away with its restaurants and beach bars. We ate at Masala Bay Indian restaurant a couple of times because we loved it so much! There's also a small supermarket and bank - we suggest getting plenty of Eastern Caribbean Dollars before you arrive in St Lucia because the ATM often runs out.
Our favourite activity was the short walk down to the beach at the bottom of the property to snorkel and search for shells. We saw some brilliant fish! Josee also organised a sea taxi for the day which was a fantastic way to get to know the west coast. We would recommend staying here to everyone and hope to return again one day to see our new Caribbean friends and Jax the gorgeous Doberman. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
Everything as advertised and more!
• Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc?
Josee and Pierre delivered everything as advertised in their listing, then they took it to the next level with their welcoming and helpful presence. Staying with them at Villa Pomme D’Amour is like visiting family. The villa is comfortably furnished and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The views are beautiful. The villa has access to a private cove with a nice beach and snorkeling located a few minutes’ walk down a trail from the villa.
• Was the property clean and well-maintained?
The property is immaculately maintained and cleaned. Not only does Josee and Pierre work tirelessly to keep up with cleanliness and maintenance, but they also have a groundskeeper and a housekeeper that came several time while we stayed to ensure everything was in tip top shape. Our apartment was cleaned twice while we were there.
• Did the owner or manager provide good customer service?
Most definitely yes! Josee and Pierre are the most gracias hosts and go to great lengths to ensure all of your needs are met and that everything is in tip top shape.

• What activities, attractions and restaurants did you enjoy?
Best restaurant in Marigot Bay is the Hurricane Hole; breakfast lunch and dinner are excellent. Also check out Doolittle’s (take a free ferry to get to this one). Its part of the Marigot Beach Club & Dive Resort.
In Castries – shopping. Lunch, go to The Coal Pot Restaurant.
Zip line, Hike, and Gondola Tour – Rainforest Adventures
Day Sail – Bateau Mygo; Pitons, snorkeling, beaches, swimming, lunch provided (don’t pay extra for the land excursion)
Pigeon Island – Fort Rodney Historic site, hike and a bit of climbing. Great Views! Jambe De Bois Restaurant and Bar
Tet Paul Nature Trail – Hiking, great views of the Inner Island and Pitons. While here stop by Boucan Hotel Chocolat for lunch.
There is a decent Massey’s grocery store nearby so you can stock up your food and provisions for your stay.
Home Away from Home - Only wWarmer in Every Way!
We have just arrived home from two wonderful weeks with Josée and Pierre in their lovely set of villas perched over-looking the azure blue waters in Trou Volant by Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. (If you love to snorkel you must leave an afternoon to swim the waters of the friendly little cove just a short walk down the hill!)
Our accommodations (second floor – two bedroom villa) were clean, comfortable and perfectly placed for wonderful views throughout the day. The kitchen was well-equipped which made home preparation of meals a pleasure. When eating-in was not on our agenda, there were many great dining choices just a short walk down the hill in Marigot Bay.
Josée provided warm and friendly concierge-style services that started many months before we ever stepped on the island. She provided us with car rental options – Pierre would have picked us up at the Vieux Fort airport had we required the assistance- and wonderful directions that helped us navigate St. Lucia’s mostly unmarked road system easily to their front door. Her assistance continued on a daily basis with dining recommendations, bookings and hand-drawn maps that guided us to any attraction or beach that caught our interest.
In addition to the services that one might hope to receive were the special touches that show an attention to detail and a love of hosting that is above and beyond. A special thank you to Crystal for the beautiful “Happy Birthday” greeting on our bed made using a selection of local flowers and the traditional, but always appreciated towel swan.
If you appreciate personalized service in an intimate setting where the villa owners are on site and you are sharing a private pool, small exercise area and amazing views of the sunset with no more than two other villas, we would recommend Villa Pomme d’Amour whole-heartedly.
Beautiful setting in St. Lucia
I had a wonderfully relaxing vacation in the warm St. Lucian weather, away from the cold at home in Georgia. Josee and Pierre were gracious hosts, with good suggestions on things to see and places to eat. I was on my own, as my husband tore a ligament in his knee just before we were to leave. But I felt very safe on my own and drove a rental car while there. Enjoyed their pool and getting to swim daily. The apartment was attractively decorated and equipped well for having meals. Would love to return and show my husband St. Lucia!
An absolutely stunning place that far exceeded our hopes
Josee and Pierre are wonderful, welcoming hosts!
The design of these 3 apartments is nearly perfect: No air conditioning was required because of the open concept. We never closed the doors to our balconies and only closed the front doors when we left or when we went to sleep. Breakfast with the birds on the balcony was very enjoyable. I sliced a banana and put the pieces on the balcony rail for them to eat while we ate our food - great enjoyment for us.
The salt water pool was extremely comfortable and provided a delightful respite for any strong heat. The vegetation around the grounds is very attractive and I saw a hummingbird every day. The view of the bay was beautiful and a gorgeous vision at sunset! The trail to the bay was relatively short and very convenient for an almost private swimming and snorkeling experience. I could go on, but my comment to Josee is worth repeating: "This is an idyllic site and I can't imagine anything more superior."
My wife and I had the 2 bedroom upper and just were thankful every day for my luck in finding this place! You won't go wrong if you pick this place for a stay.
There are two beaches near Villa Pomme d'Amour , the first one being the secluded cove a 3 minute walk from our place for some great snorkeling and swimming, then a 10 minute walk brings you down the hill into Marigot Bay for another beach and water sports, such as kayaking, paddleboarding, hobie cats, sailing and more.
There is also a nice hike to be done to the top of the Northern ridge of the bay.
The bay has many restaurants and little bars, a bank, a grocery store and more.......
and Pierre and Josee the owners are around to help with any info or service.
Hope to see you here.....Josee and Pierre
