This loft guest home is tucked away on 2.8 saguaro studded acres in northwest Tucson. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and the colors of the sunset on the Santa Catalina mountains from the balcony of the loft. Covered parking and lots of peace and quiet, close to shopping, restaurants, and world class golf courses. The interior is decorated with beautiful antiques and not so antique furniture. Bronze sculptures, high ceilings, rough sawn timbers and wood galore give the loft a cabin feel. Upstairs in the loft bedroom is a queen size bed and two nightstands. There is a sitting area upstairs in front of a large window overlooking the pool with a view of the Santa Catalina mountains. New appliances in the kitchen including a side by side refridgerator, a gas stove with an overhead microwave oven, coffee pot, toaster, and toaster oven. The kitchen also has dishes and pots and pans with utensils. This is a working ranch, so there is livestock on the property. Feel free to wander the property and visit the animals during your stay.

Cool Property with Pool and Views
The name Hideaway fits the property. There were 16 saguaro cacti on the land and a great pool. The kitchen was big though not as well supplied as others I've enjoyed. The downstairs was like the pictures, with a soaring ceiling. The walls are brick so they hold heat after the 105 degree day but the air conditioner kept the downstairs cool enough.
Upstairs has a door to a wonderful balcony as seen in the profile picture. The bed was comfortable but even with the ceiling fan and a portable fan, it took awhile to get the temperature to a resting level.
I did see a few stains on the carpet near the slider and a couple other not quite sparkling areas, though the Hideaway is rustic so bird reminders on the patio furniture and other dusty remnants were not a concern.
The pool was clean and refreshing. You can park right outside the entry door. If you cannot climb stairs this is not the place for you. Part of the charm was having the loft space bedroom that looked down on the living area.
I would stay again and recommend William's house for a quiet retreat.
Perfect for us
I was traveling to Tucson for a conference and a couple of days of rest and relaxation so booked this house for my stay. At rather the last minute I decided to see if my elderly mother could join. I emailed William to confirm it would be ok and he immediately answered and cleared up any accessiblity questions I had. Tho the bedroom loft stairs would have been too difficult for her to navigate, she sleeps in her recliner often at home and was very comfortable there (closer to the bathroom as well.)
We asked about a medical supply service close by so we wouldn’t have to lug a big piece of equipment thru the airport, and as luck would have it, William had a very similar surplus device from his grandfather! Potential problem solved.
This isn’t the only time William went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a minor difficulty getting the cable TV working so my mom could be entertained during my conference days and William responded quickly to get it up and running for her.
Now, let’s talk about the house! Spacious and very cozy at the same time. Beautifully decorated with themed artwork and sculptures. The loft bedroom was huge and the sitting area allowed me an extra comfortable place to work when it got dark outside. The kitchen had what we needed and there was a basket full of “extras!”
The bathroom is quite large and also nicely decorated.
Depending on the time of day and where the sun is, there are at least two places to sit outside. The area around the pool is beautiful and alive with birds. The area on the other side of the house almost always had a jackrabbit visiting.
We are from Michigan, so tho the people around there may be used to lizards scurrying around everywhere outside, we found it delightful.
I chose the location for the distance from my conference, but it was a perfect distance for us from the sights we wanted to see on our fun days. We went to the Tucson science museum, and drove up Mt Lemmon. We also took a tram to a canyon! We really enjoyed driving surrounded by the foothills. Speed limits are much lower than we are used to, but that allowed us to enjoy the views a bit more.
Altogether a wonderful biz trip/vacation. I have no doubt I will book this place again if I ever have another opportunity to visit Tucson.
We loved the smell of the jasmine plant on the patio. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony, the pool and the interior of the unit.
The owner has done a great job of making this place a rustic place to stay.
The bed was uncomfortable for me but everyone has their own bed preferences.
We will come back!
Loved our stay here. The loft was very quaint with plenty of room for two. Everything was very clean and it was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The pool was great too. The best was being able sitting outside in the quite of the morning drinking coffee. It doesn't get much better than this. We will definitely come back again.
This was the perfect get away from the city. We were greeted each morning by the birds singing and beautiful sunrises. We spent mornings sightseeing and relaxing in the shade by the pool when we returned. Despite the warm weather, we did not swim, but did soak our feet in the pool.
The loft was spacious and very relaxing when we were inside.
William our host was great, he checked on us a couple of times and even gave us fresh eggs from his hens for breakfast.
You felt as if you were in the country but close enough to dining and shopping within a couple miles.
We enjoyed our stay at "Lobo's Loft" very much. William was responsive to any of our needs, which were few. Should we return to Tucson would love to stay here again.
