This apartment is situated in a central, yet quiet location with wonderful views from all rooms over the marina and Lake Geneva. Constructed to a very high standard, maintained in pristine condition and painted in 2010, the apartment offers practical and comfortable accommodation for four people. A lift provides access from the parking space inside the building and there is a separate access at street level, one floor above the apartment, providing short walking distances to a bank, pharmacy, cafe, post office, supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants. The private roof terrace above the 5th floor can be used by guests and provides a magnificent panoramic view over the lake and surrounding mountains.
The train station (and local tourist office) and the passenger ferry terminal are close by and offer a wide variety of excursion possibilities. A car is not essential.
The apartment benefits from its proximity to the station, which is within a short walking distance of the entrance to the apartment on the ground floor and the lift.
This means that guests can arrive by train.
It is possible to enjoy excursions by train and ferry boat without the need to have a car.
There is a separate entrance on the 5th floor and a Post Office, Pharmacy, Supermarket and Bank are all within one or two minutes walking distance.

This was a lovely place to spend 3 days in the Lake Geneva area of Switzerland. It was very comfortable for 3 of us, and bright and airy as advertised. Nicely furnished, too, with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the terrace overlooking Lake Geneva, for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine.
Le Bouveret is a good base of operations for exploring the Lake Geneva area. We used the atmospheric paddle steamer boat to visit Montreux and Chillon, and had all our dinners at restaurants along the Lake Geneva waterfront, so we didn’t need to use the car much. We found the local Tourist Bureau to be extremely helpful in making our plans.
Thanks also to Madame Probst, who helped us check in, get settled, and check out when we arrived at odd hours.
As others have mentioned, the garage space is tight, so a smaller car is recommended. Our VW Passat fit into the space, but it was helpful to have a spotter while parking the car.
Stayed for a week and enjoyed it tremendously. The apartment has all the amenities and is as advertised. Mr. Morse was always very helpful and understanding accepting also to buy us a second fan because of the extraordinary heat. He even left us some beer and biscuits for our arrival! Madame Probst the lady who handed us the keys was also very nice and on time both for checking in and checking out. The area Bouveret is quite central and we managed to visit quite a few places whilst there. The only downside was the small parking space in the garage but this was also because I was driving a large car ! Would not hesitate to return and recommend it to anyone! The views of the lake and the mountains from the verandah are astonishing. Used to love a glass of wine late in the evening watching people jog or walk the dog.
Everything is done (booking etc.) very professionally and we wish to thank Mr. Morse for his kindness and understanding.
> We have travelled Europe for 2 months and Le Lacustre was the best
> self-catering accommodation we stayed at. I give it 10 out of 10.
> The apartment is tastefully furnished and all the bedding/linen etc.
> was top class. Plenty of crockery and pots/pans for cooking. We felt
> like we were at home, not missing out on even small luxuries.
> The view from the apartment is magnificent - one can spend the entire
> holiday just sitting on the balcony, sipping wine and looking at the
> lake and the Alps.
> There are 2 bathrooms in the aparment which is handy when there are
> more than two people staying - no competition for toilet/shower.
> The building faces the lake. The building has also the second exit to
> the back street which has the bakery and shops. We bought fresh bread
> from the bakery every morning and we only had to travel 2 mins to the bakery.
> There is a railway line in front of the apartment but the trains are
> infrequent and do not run at night so there was no noise problem from
> the trains. The locals like music and there are concerts/bands on weekend.
> Karaoke... umm not everyone should sing.
> There is a broadband connection in the apartment but we had an iPad.
> There is free WiFi in Bouveret provided by (I think) the tourist
> office but the reception is quite patchy. You can get WiFi from the
> balcony most days but it keeps dropping of. So best to bring a laptop
> to make use of the broadband connection in the apartment.
> Plenty of things to do around the area but if you like night clubs etc
> you make have to go across the lake to Montreax - you either need the
> car or have to plan your trips carefully as ferries/trains do not run after 8pm.
> We enjoyed the stay immensely - it is a quiet little place (apart from
> karaoke nights :)) and the apartment is top notch.
